Homeward bound

 

After running six delivery tickets (3 at one stop) at 16:45 dispatch says "call it a day and head home". On the way home from about Splendora to a little short of Downtown Cleveland it was raining it's brains out! At about Mid Cleveland I stopped at a tire shop. Just a couple days after my left front tire tore up the side of my truck the right front had a small tread seperation going so I asked if he had any 235/80/17 in stock. I got a VERY GOOD/Excellent Michelin in that size for $90. More than I really wanted to pay but this showed NO dry rot or any other bad things so I think I got a deal!

 

I can't quite "see" it... maybe I don't need to "see" it... But I get the picture... Pete called me today and told me about the so many ways the meat is transported in his truck.

 

Getting my first load of DDG. Easy local runs today. I guess they are trying to break the newbie in easy.

I really, really miss my old truck.

 

At a rest area on I395 in CT... heading back up to do battle with the Massholes tonight, and then on to ol' Virginny.

 

I was to pick up at a place, deliver to another and bring back stuff to the first. But could not get back in time. And they wouldn't let me take the stuff to deliver in the morning.

So now in the morning I get to fight my way to the place in NW Houston and bring it back over near the airport. Kinda put me in a Slow Burn state of mind.

Got home at 18:45. Unhooked the battery charger from the mower and got the last little bit of yard cut. Had pot roast, taters, carrots, onions and gravy.... YUMMY!

And a little pissed off at a couple of mods and giggles.

think I'll go sit in the woods for the rest of the weekend.
