Now here's a question I hadn't ran into yet but may someday. In California, can you set the Kingpin less that 40' if you need to to get your steers and axles legal?
-
yeppers, the regulation is a maximum.Olympian Thanks this.
-
Yes, I think you can be less than 40' as long as the 'bridge' between axles still complies with these weight/length limitations. Looks complicated as hell to me.
-
Don't sweat it Ralph. You're in MS there is already mildew, mold and bugs.

How does Crete calculate the OOR miles on the MMR? Is anything that deviates from the recommended route counted as OOR? What if you take a shorter route? If you took another route of similar mileage (no tolls), would it still all be counted as OOR? Thanks for any info.
* I thought the MMR usually came out on the 4th, but I haven't been able to bring it up for some reason today. -
I never had a problem taking an alternative route be it shorter or a little longer to avoid potential problems like traffic, weather, etc.
Ralph4159 Thanks this. -
I've been told they calculate OOR per-month rather than per-trip.
-
Can take alternate route just got to let them know first.

Being trusted to do the job I was hired to do w/o having to be micro-managed. Being treated like a team member working together for the continued success and growth of a company that you can be proud to work for(at Crete you are a trained chimp, performing for the ring master who has a really itchy trigger finger on his whip, ready to pounce if it even looks like you might not perform like you were told). Not having to deal with disorganized incompetence on a daily basis. And the 3-ring circus and hours of waiting when yet another problem crops up. $$$$MONEY$$$$$ $.48 CPM, driving a 68 mph truck with far less freight shortages like a general freight hauling company has. Being treated like a person(so far, I have only talked to 3 people at Poly, the recruiter/HR person named Adam and 2 security guards but have had nothing but mutual respect and prompt answers when I had a question). This isn't the whole list, but a quick 'off the top of the head' review.Ralph4159, SMASH and LilRobWayne Thank this.
