No...it was an asphalt milling company.

Well...it looks like I most likely won't be coming back to Freymiller. I am holding off until tomorrow before I post the gritty details, but let's just say that they burned me really bad.

I felt it would be best to give Freymiller 24 hours before I told my story, but since they did not follow through, here it is.

It all started back in late February when I received my new truck from them. Since it was new, it didn't have permanent tags...and therefore, no EZ Pass. Knowing this, Freymiller decided to send me into the NE anyways. When I questioned them about the lack of an EZ Pass while going down toll roads, their response was to just blow the tolls and the state would send them the fee in the mail. Not wanting to cause too many waves, I agreed to this. While going through Baltimore, I went through an EZ Pass only toll booth (I blew the toll.) Staying in line with my luck, I got pulled over by a Port Authority cop. Come to find out, not only did I blow the toll, I also went through a non truck toll booth. After it was all said and done, I received 2 tickets from him. It was pure revenue generation because both tickets were for the same infraction. The 1st one was "Improper Lane Condition," and the other one was "Failure to maintain proper lane." What I didn't know was that both tickets would result in a total of 6 points added to my cdl. Coupled with a previous improper lane violation ticket from CA in 2011, I now have 9 points on my license...ya Florida and their crappy points system. Who would have thought that being in the wrong lane is equivalent to an open container violation or speeding 15 mph over.

Fast forward to last Monday. I contacted the recruiter to start the process of getting rehired. She told me to update my application, and I would be good to go. After updating my app, I called her back, and specifically asked her if there were going to be any issues whatsoever with me coming back. She said that everything looked fine, and the I was good to go for Sep 9th. Upon hearing that confirmation, I turned in my notice with my current employer, and purchase a $305 airline ticket to return me to OKC. I heard nothing else from Freymiller until yesterday.

On Tuesday morning, I received a phone call from another recruiter questioning me about the 2 tickets. She accused me of not informing Freymiller of the tickets and trying to hide them. I explained to her how it was, in fact, quite the opposite and that I was quite vocal about those 2 tickets because I felt that Freymiller was partially responsible for payment of the fines. After all, it was Freymiller that dispatched me to an area that is nothing but toll roads knowing full well that I didn't have an EZ Pass...and then telling me to blow the tolls to boot. She said she would call me back after speaking with safety. After about 10 minutes, she phoned me back to inform that everything was still good to go for Sep 9th.

On Tuesday afternoon, I received yet another call from the primary recruiter informing me that Freymiller would not take me back because "I have 9 points on my license and in FL, you only need 10 points and your license will be suspended." Knowing that this was absolute #########, I called her out on it. She informed me that the safety directer would call me to discuss it. The safety director called me and we had about a 5 minute discussion in which he tried the same cdl suspension bs again. Again, I called him out on it, and then he proceeded to tell me that dispatch wasn't too happy to hear of my return too. Once I heard that, I knew that he was just making things up since my relationship with operations was very good (I had many people come to me and tell me that they were going to miss me and that, when I was ready to come 'home,' to give them a call.) At the end of the conversation, he said that he would review my info 1 more time and give me a call by the end of the work day. Well, that call never came. I sent him an email yesterday evening outlining the point requirements for license suspensions in the state of Florida as well as outlining my case regarding the tickets. Again, I didn't hear back from them.

The bottom line is that Freymiller screwed me big time. I am now out of a job and have a $305 non-refundable airline ticket to go to OKC that will not be used. I personally feel that this happened because the safety director has some kind of beef with me. I think he believes that I was trying to hide those tickets from him which simply wasn't the case. But instead of being a man and telling me straight, he has to try and ######## me and tiptoe around the truth. This is completely unfair to me because I was a good employee for them. I was never late due to my own fault, I took immaculate care of the equipment, never declined loads, etc. I even recruited several people to the company...and for that, I got strung along and then hung out to dry.

In the end, it goes to show that even a good company can burn you. I am not so much pissed as I am saddened by their treatment of me. I really did enjoy working for Freymiller, but as they say; all good things must come to an end.

    Thanks for reading.

wow...I drove for freymiller for almost 5yrs never had that problem. not saying that it didn't because operations will sometimes ask for the impossible but you could have saved yourself those points. you could've call the safety director when you were told to blow the booth but you didn't, you could have just paid the toll or just say no. you are the one driving the truck, not your dispatcher or load planner. you can't pass the buck here because you are the one who chose to follow bad advice. did they hold a gun to your head? did they threaten to hold your family hostage if you didn't? probably not. you just took the bait. own up to your mistake and go on...smh...

This is how pathetic drivers can be. They didn't screw you, you screwed yourself. They asked you to do something illegal and you, like a blind little sheep, said, ok. Then when you get caught, you want to cry about it. As for 2 tickets, you deserved that too. Man, those lanes are CLEARLY marked for cars and trucks. You as a driver should have known you don't run tolls because someone said to. Have you ever heard of comcheck or any of the other many ways a company can get cash to a driver?? Speak up for yourself next time, don't just blindly follow along and most of all, don't cry when YOU get caught.

So out of all of that, that is what you came out with huh? I am unconcerned about those 2 tickets. It is what it is. I won't say another thing about those tickets because it is a distraction as to what really happened. I only mentioned them to add background.

Man I thought you were smarter than that...

    Who are you?

I'm a truck driver that doesn't whine when I get caught doing something wrong. I take responsibility for my own actions and don't blame others. You can talk all the background you wish, but it doesn't change the fact that you followed blindly along with what they told you to do, illegal or not, YOU chose to do it, YOU got caught, YOU need to take responsibility and not blame others for what YOU did.

You're right, and I learned my lesson for it. I paid my fines, and received the points on my license. Is that not enough? Obviously, I did not pursue the matter with Freymiller since I continued to work with them without incident for 6 months following the tickets. It was only brought up because the safety director was under the impression that I was attempting to hide the tickets from him (hence the 'background' of how I simply know that wasn't the case.) Also, keep in mind that you only know a brief detail of what happened through my aforementioned post. I am not going to waste my time and energy trying to defend my actions because you don't care...hence, I don't care.

I'm just surprised you found my post so repulsive that you used your annual posting limit to respond (albeit quite nastily) to it...and now twice.

Now. Since I firmly believe that you just being a troll (which I don't feed,) I'm going to place you on ignore.

I don't understand why he didn't just get a couple hundred dollars cash advance so he can pay the tolls and turn in the receipts. Like everybody else who doesn't have EZ Pass will do. You also can go through the pay line and they take down your information and bill your company. I know the latter would be harder since you go through so many tolls, but Getting a couple hundred in cash advance for the tolls should be pretty easy.

Also you have to remember you threw them under the bus when you was leaving. So you kind of dug your own hole. Never ever throw a company under the bus. They are like a woman scorned they never forget. Good day!!
