He was a a little over on the steers But could have left it alone and gone anywhere unless he was low on fuel.. His 5th wheel is not where it needs to be kept. Hell never be able to scale out (gross out) with his 5th wheel where it is.

He set the tractor brakes instead of only the trailer brakes. This allows the steer, drive, and tandem scales to move and settle freely. This is why his gross weight is different. Very little difference but I see drivers returning to shippers for 50-100 pounds over gross.
