FYI: the black bears in that area are actually rather small (as bears go)&relatively docile--but they do Scrounge--makes me wonder what he/she smelled in on your truck that was of interest? Where do you keep your dogs food? Or anything else with a somewhat attractive aroma? Something (¬ you)in or very near your truck appealed to your friend---May I advise you to fully inventory ur food and dogs--including locations--& try to figure out--since this could Very likely happen again--my 1st instinct is your dogs food--drybag open in side box perhaps--Anyway I think you get my drift

Never trust a black near to be docile...they're not grizzlies, but even a 150 lb. black bear is quite capable of doing major damage to any man...up to and including killing him.
-
Never TRUST ANY wild animal--in case u thought that is what I was suggesting--my point Again WAS something in/near that truck attracted it& this driver Needs to try &ascertain what it was to hopefully avoid repeat performances
