Hey Teddy! Seems the marriage reunion didn't last long anyway... I was busy, cooking and doing laundry... I had a OK afternoon, bus ride to Walmart, some shopping... not bad... just a "normal" day. Hey, praying you have a as good as possible week and hope that shot is coming soon to give you some pain relief my dear... Take care Teddy...

1a. What did he miss when applying the spider?
[spider rubber is a waste of money...look at the picture, see how stressed at the hub the "legs" are...they will last 2 maybe 3 applications then pop right off the chain...and another bites the snow pack.]
2. 15 minutes to apply one chain(?), in clear weather, no traffic, no one trying to splash him???? For minimum level (4 tires total) that will be 1 hour plus, for modified max 1.75 hours! Doing it correctly (The Otter Way)...25 minutes for minimum, 40 minutes for mod max!
3. I don't think the motel will appreciate the "digs" he is putting on their asphalt...even with the approximately 3-4 feet he is moving on the chain.
4. One question...did he drape the chain over the top of the tire, or lay it out behind?
OH...I'm such a stickler!!!! -
As far as grades, you have 3 major climbs across WY, then the Parleys climb out of Park City, and 2 long climbs before the I-70/I-15 junction...not to mention the mess getting through SLC! If you top off the tanks in NE before cutting south to Denver, you won't need fuel until Parowan or maybe Beaver.Hammer166 Thanks this. -
And I always place the hooks facing out.......But that's just me....otherhalftw and Big Don Thank this. -

Fill in OR? It may appear to cost less...only going by pump price...but nothing of that OR fill is going towards the Highway Use. OR is basically double taxed for commercial rigs. the rule of thumb is splash on enough to get out of OR and top off in whichever state your entering into!
Yeah...it has been a while ... I have been shut down at Vail once in 20 years for about 36 hours...now I-80, that one gets closed for days at a time. No thanks, I'll take 70 over 80 any day! -
otherhalftw Thanks this. -
