? truckers are not born they are trained?

Proper institution turns students into being a skilled professional????????????????????Somebody sure did pull the wool over your eyes didn't they.Training doesn't turn you into a professional if that were the case then there wouldn't be so many idiots out here as we speak.Only you can decide weather you wanna be a true professional or a steering wheel holder that got their CDL out of a cracker jack box.

 

I went thru 3 training programs to get to where I am now. the 1st one got sick bad had 2 leave, 2nd house caught on fire had 2 leave, 3rd trained for 3wks had 2 learn company policy and drive 13spd. then still I didn't really learn till I got my own truck. I remember on my very 1st load i was 45000 heavy. i was so nervous i couldn't get out in street because i kept on jumping off my clutch too soon. where i had to come out was on a good incline i had 2 have had traffic held up for at least 15min making me more nervous. if it wasn't for the old school drivers helping me when i really need it i would have been lost and a bad driver. on way to scale on my 1st load i forgot to move tandems they were all the way back so illegal. when i got off there was construction at that exit. man i was killing them barrels lol!! wasn't funny then. a old school driver came over to where i was 1st question he asked me how long had i been driving. i told him it was my 1st load. he laughed at me he said he knew it had to be something like that because he saw me killing them barrels. of course his wife got on him for laughing at me. him and his wife stayed with me bout a hr helping me get my trk ready so i could be legal on weight. then he gave me their number if i needed help in future trust me i used it. its not because of the school i got my cdl at or where i trained its the drivers that see we are new and take time out to help teach us. this is how i became a better truck driver not a wheel holder.

 

There ya go,other drivers made you the driver you are today.Same here.School teaches you just the basics to get your cdl and being a professional isn't part of their basic program.

 

So where can i buy thoose cracker jacks at anyway ?
