Someone tell me if I'm wrong here. By what Blu_Ogre is saying you will be fined weather early or late correct?? If so then tell me how that different than a company driver if the broker controls you ??

Ya know, I had someone from TQL and C.H.R. here that PMed me asking me to email them with my complaint about why I speak so pooly of them. #### those ########! If they spent the time looking through and reading these threads then they would know why many speak badly of them.
OP, if theres not a clause in the contract stating that they can deduct under such circumstances then I would drag their ### through small claims court. They can't change the agreement on a contract that has already been signed by the driver/carrier. I've never seen such on a contract but have dealt with a similar problem only it was the change of the contract from agreement. Good thing for paying attention and catching it before signing. They are crooks. Plain and simple. -
It all depends on your contract. You must read and understand the whole contract to not get burned.
Some contracts say deliver on or before xx: xx MM/DD/YYYY
Some say no more than X hours before xx: xx MM/DD/YYYY
Some say between xx: xx MM/DD/YYYY and xx: xx MM/DD/YYYY
If you are outside of the terms of the contract they can Fine you if there is a performance clause.Last edited: Nov 21, 2013

But but even big mega carriers penalize drivers with points within the company for being late. I have never heard of being penalized for being early. Must be the new industry standards of brokers. Kinda like politicians, :sit, stay, roll over, lay down".

And after the smoke clears and your sure you got what you're going to get..... tell the customer! They will be very interested in knowing CHR reduced the rate by $200....I promise.

The disadvantage of J.I.T. (Just in Time) The trucks become short term storage.
Shipper gets the product ready to go early and does not or can not store it. Customer does not want it till later. "Let the truck store it"
Megas can yard drop it then plan another truck to "re-power" it. O/O gets to sit on it -
True but don't you see that in contract before you agree to it? So who's fault then. I say let's have thread starter show FACTS(Contract) . I should have said that before i jumped to conclusions but giving O/O benefit of doubt cause no matter what they should be happy it's early. He called and they could have said no. They(receiver) changed delivery time not the driver. All he did was ask.
