The wife and have made the decision to take this huge step in our lives. Can we get some pointers of how to adapt from those that have been through this kind of change.

    Thanks,
    WD40

Just do it, it is tough, I well up everytime I head back out, praying me and my family will be safe, You have made the decision to do it, you will make money down the road, It is a good thing to come home and see the things being provided for with what you are making out there. You can communicate from time to time there are Video contact systems where you can see folks at home, You never get used to being away you get to where you can tolerate it. good Luck.

Thanks for the reply, We fortunately have no family at home to miss. In respect to that though... we have no person we know well enough to care for our home either... I guess I should be more specific and ask how to be in a truck around the clock... If we are doing team driving, I assume we will be rolling almost continuously compared to truck stop time or home time chilling on the couch or going out and about any.

You don't need no house just live in the truck nd save your money buy everything you need form walmart don't buy nothing form the truckstop or you will end up been broke, i bet you will be surprise to see how money you will have on your bank account after 10 years i met a driver in ct he been driving for 30 years nd he been living in a truck for 25 years no apartment bills nd stuff he told me he is got a lot of money. i can't live like that because i have kid.

    Yessir,
I hear ya! Thats been a thought, but its almost paid for, just another two years... then when that bill is gone maybe go local and a little more home time.. Besides the wife really loves the place. If it were just me... I'd sell it and roll.... :yes2557:

Going from a 1500 sf home to a 15 sf truck will be the biggest shock ! 2 people…..24/7 in a very tiny area.
