I haven't completely eliminated salt from my diet but I avoid it due to the issues it can bring on blood pressure. I never drink any coffee, smoke a cigarette or do anything that would cause a spike in blood pressure.

In 1982 I weighed 195 (5'9")2001 I had 7 mild heart attacks, 2008 weighed 355 and my suger B/P was out of control I opted for ruen-y gastric bypass, got down to 205 but since being diagnosed with an eningual hernia I had to cut my exercise routine down quite a bit and have crept back up to 215, Dr. does not seem to be in any hurry to fix it until I start having severe pain. Walking is about all the exercise I can do at this point, so I park as far away from the truck stop building as I can just to get a little walking. I try to eat high protein food eggs/chicken/beef/ I also take a protein suplament .
jungledrums and Ice Queen Thank this. -
WoW bubbanbrenda! That's an incredible weight loss!
My husband was recently diagnosed with a hernia and the doctor isn't going to do anything about his until it "matures" more....similiar to your situation. It kinda scares me though. -

Eat a good breakfast steak, eggs, toast and orange juice. Just a quick something about 3 or so and 1 pepsi a day which sucks for me. Those were so hard to quit uh slow down on. I weighed 230 once but am holding at a steady 195 these days. I think going back to hauling cattle has helped, I have to run and climb a lot. Makes me miss my old heeler female she always had my rear. Maybe booby will learn. I drink a little water and grapefruit juice through the day that stuff is nasty. They say it keeps my slim and sexy appearance so I reckon I will keep at it.

None, still about 200 lbs. It did creep up to about 225 once, but thats from her cooking.

Most of my weight was gained through marriage, yes blaming the wife(s)
I went to school in 2005 in San Francisco which I weighed 243, living there for a year I walked everywhere, went to the gym and got myself into decent shape and 200 with some muscle. First marriage I ended up getting to 280 when I left her, she would not allow me to go to the gym because other girls were there.....her jealousy is a story for another time, left her and got down to 250 in 2 months and then met my current wife who was going to school for baking and pastry.....well yeah....then I lost my job and injured my back with a herniated disk bulging on both sides of my L5, was up to 306 lbs when I left for the Swift Academy, got with a mentor who was also trying to get back into shape so we helped each other and I have slowly been knocking it down since, my goal is to get back down to 200 within the next 6 months so 10 lbs a month is a good goal.
If I would be more serious it would be much quicker but I drink my coffee and a soda or 2 a day and sometimes I will cheat like I did tonight and got a nacho but I drove to a mall to watch a movie and did some good walking there. I also gave up the cigarettes 3 weeks ago, just need to drop that soda. A doctor once told me if you drink 3 can sodas a day and drop it down to 1 then you can lose a lb a week....I believe it since when I lost the 30 lbs in 2 months I mostly dropped the soda and beer.jungledrums Thanks this.
