Eaton, I totally agree with what NDBADLANDS wrote. I also enjoy sooo much your postings, your pictures and descriptions and explanations of the job. IMO you are a very tallented, very hard working man and deserve much better treatment from your boss. But like NDBADLANDS wrote, the "good" employees sometimes are taken advantage of... The more you do, the more the boss wants... if you don't complain, they will keep doing it more and more... I wish you a wonderful (Thanksgiving) time with yours. :yes2557:

So... I thought the roads would be kinda empty on Thanksgiving day... well... I was wrong... there were almost as many vehicles as the day before... Maybe tomorrow, folks will be at home, recuperating from all the eating... and watching TV. And I will face that 78, 287, 95 and 91 from PA to MA.... Hopefully there will be less vehicles... I thought truck stops today would have less trucks but another mistake... they seemed to be even fuller than usual...
Going to bed now... will start driving 4 am.

With just about every major retail chain store being open today and requiring supplies, I'm surprised any of the dry box/reefer guys and gals got home today. Makes me extra glad I jumped to steel hauling flatbed....home today and tomorrow, with some local work over the weekend I volunteered for as I haven't been with the company long enough for paid holidays yet.....

Finally got the truck out of the shop....regen issue fixed....lost about three days this week and probably won't get home for our family T'Giving Sunday....but this truck has given me good service for 160k+miles, so no real complaint.

I'm at the Petro in Rochelle, IL, picking up nearby at 2000 tomorrow and headed to SC. Might make it Sunday evening for a quick bite...we'll see.....

I hope everyone here had a great Thanksgiving! Stay safe everyone!

Hauled 6 loads today. I had 2 loads that I had to go way up into the boonies to get. The first lease up that way was a PITA to find and the second wasn't much better! Got them done though so alls well that ends well. Then had 4 more that were moderate distance from the battery to go get.
Called in at 4:45pm but no more loads to do, apparently it will get busier next week. I can't complain too much as there were trucks finishing their day at 1pm today so I got a few more loads than them.
