You know, driving a truck has it's advantages, and it's disadvantages. See the great landscape views of this country, and unfortunately, see the carnage of the effects of storms and accidents. Every week, it's something new. Antelope, deer, moose, elk, (in herds), eagles soaring overhead, waterfalls, snow capped mountains, blizzards, sunrises and sunsets, just to name a few. And, there are some things that should not been seen, like pervs. I have no problem with the women, but the men isn't kewl, at all.
What have you seen lately?

Saw a dead person in a car yesterday. Bad accident, freeway down to one lane, the highway works were pulling out a tarp and unfolding it to block the view of this lifeless body.......

THAT is always a SAD and TRAGIC site to see!
I myself have come up on a couple of bad accidents like that, and still have the scenes in my head.................

About a week ago driving east on 84 out of Salt Lake City over about a two mile stretch, we saw dozens and dozens of dead deer on both sides of the roadside and in the median. It was as if a herd of hundreds of deer tried crossing the highway all at once. They were everywhere! I have never seen that many carcasses in one place. A couple of days later when we came back through, they'd all been picked up by the highway cleanup crew.
We also saw three (live) mooses (meese?) along that stretch.

Driving just north of Madison, WI a few weeks ago I saw half of a roadkill deer stuck in a snowbank. All I can say is that the deer (hind end) was sticking out of the snowbank in such a way that it looked like it jumped in on purpose. It literally looked like the hunter's trophy of the one that nearly got away!
It took three miles to wipe the tears of laughter from my eyes! -
Yeah, just think what it's like to be a cop/emt/fireman and see that stuff all the time. I still get nightmares. . .

I've come upon many accidents with dead people - but rarely when they are still visible - normally on such things I come up to an accident like that and there is a blanket or a tarp or whatever they had available to cover up the body. NOT something I really care to see....
