I stayed in Aurora for a few weeks last fall. I have a friend that lives there. My little one got sent to a specific surgeon in Seattle and I couldn't find a place to stay close to Seattle Children's for a while, and my friend offered me a place until I found something closer. Oregon is MUCH closer to Seattle than Fargo, which is where I'd been living until then.

The road was totally covered with snow... However, "it wasn't very cold..." :biggrin_2554: In the teens maybe?...:biggrin_25523: I am at a... rest area in GA. Temp is about 58F. That's what I call not very cold. :biggrin_25519:

Ah me. I got to the Truck Stop, got fuel and sat still by 08:00. At 08:52 I got Galena Park to Pasadena (Almost La Porte) with 10# Hazmat. Was done with that by 10:30
At 09:49 got pick up 5,200# (no dims given) at NOV. At 11:31 I arrived where I left the trailer last week. At 12:00 I got pick up at NOV ready 13:00.
Got to NOV 13:00 Finally found where in that place I was supposed to be. Then found out it would not be ready until 15:30
At 10:39 I had gotten pick up 178# at a place I know well.
The PLAN was to pick up the big order and get the little one on the way to SDV,
At 14:00 I arrived to get the little one. Took it to SDV and was done by 14:45.
I tried to call the office and make SURE I was to go back to NOV. No one answered.
Got back to NOV 15:30. Got it this time. Took it to SDV. Was done by 16:45.
No other texts or calls except from my Sister.
And if I was awaiting word I could go home I'd still be waiting.
    So three for today.

And I've either somehow pinched a nerve or old age is catching up because every now and then my right elbow throbs and it puts off my writing and occasionally causes me to voice it.

Ohh... the stress of running with Peoplenet elog and under new freaking HOS... :angry5: Don't know how fast your machine is... Ours here is soooo freaking slow... It takes at least one min after I pull my brakes for the screen to display the icons, and almost another min to accept my change of status... :cwm21:

Dave... I like reading your postings... you give such a good report of your day... I remember you were working on your truck a couple weeks ago or so.... I hope it's working well now. :biggrin_25519: And I remember... you seemed so down and frustrated with your boss and your job... not running much... I felt sad for you... :biggrin_2557: Hope things got better... at least you sound a little more enthusiastic... again... Wish you all the best man... you are a very hard working man and you deserve a good job that compensates you well for your dedication and hard work. :yes2557:

Thank you Rocks! I don't want to work much more hours but I would like to keep moving more when I am "on the job"

Well today was a Five day.
First I went and got a pallet with two Haz Mat drums on it and took it to World Trade Houston.
Then while on the way FMC I get a pick up over in West Houston so I went and got it.
Then I got the FMC. Then I got one more about a mile from SDV and then took all three there.
Then picked up a crate there also going to World Trade

I was sent a "for tomorrow" pick up 400 pounds not far from Airport and take it to Sumner (NW Houston) 8:30 pick up. Then another Tomorrow pick up of 25# Haz Mat going to Cargolux. And he said you can do this one first if you want. So that will blow an 8:30 to smithereens.
Because by the time I get it at SDV and get it accepted at Cargolux it will be 9:30 or 10 easy.

    Rocks Thanks this.

Oh and at just before 16:00 I asked if i should start heading home as I was still at World Trade.
He said head on back up by the Airport. And at 17:05 he says go home.
