My co-driver and I actually became good friends with one security guard that we dealt with on a dedicated. Even been out hunting with the guy. That's my good story.

A few weeks ago I ran into a guard at one of my company's plants. He asks me where I'm from and what I'm picking up and I tell him from Indiana going to Indiana. We don't use POs or stuff, this is how we handle it generally. So he hands me bills going to Georgia. I say, "Umm, this is going to Georgia not Indiana." He tells me that he knows for sure those are the bills for me and that they must just be relaying it through Indiana. I tell him I don't think that's right and he assures me I'm supposed to take the Georgia trailer. I call up the office and they say whatever just bring it and we'll figure it out.

I come back to the guard shack on the way out and you have to hand the bills back to the guy to check and make sure you got the right trailer and such. Mind you this is the same guy I just talked to 15 minutes ago. The first thing out of his mouth is, "Well that's not right, these bills are for Georgia not Indiana." I wish I could of seen the look on my own face at that moment.

My mother worked at ASA in Newport for many years from 5am till 2. She had her drivers that she thought the world of, and others were well primed for a fuss with the gaurd. Had a guy say on the radio one time the gaurd at steel mill was a little rude so before anything else was said I hollered Redneck tell her you and Cooter goes way back next time you see her I'm her baby boy. Next morning when we met he said Cooter after I mentioned you it was honey and sugar all the way. She told me she didn't mean to be rude yesterday but had just gotten done with a driver that claimed not to speak good english. Happens a lot more these days and its very frustrating. So keep in mind they may be having a bad day. Some people just hate to be bothered and shouldn't have a job dealing with the public though its like they hate to be bothered. I had pulled scrap into there a lot almost everyday, the first time I went in after she passed I was a mess, the gaurd chewed my butt and had the right to. Sold my end dump went back to hauling cattle I couldn't do it. Any way thats my guard story. Yall keep your brakes cool

CS aberdeen during the summer on weekends a certain female guard wears spaghetti string tops while no one is at the warehouse except the delivery drivers. When she leans out to get the paperwork her boob falls out almost everyday.
Its a great way to end a work day.

Called security from a phone inside the complex .
Short conversation, I said " yes SIR. "
    SHE said," I'm a female."

"Oops, SORRY," said I. What color is a fire truck!?

Had a guard at someplace in Tampa once, and I just could not tell if it was a he, or a she, or both, or neither one. And the name was 'PAT'. Did not know what to call him/her/it. Very nice person, did a good job. But we could not figure it out.

This was a DOT episode.....last summer I was running thru Illinois and their was 9 of us trucks waiting in line to pull onto the scale, I was behind a daycab and he pulled onto the scale, since I was next in line I saw and heard everything. He pulls onto the scale and stops, over the loud speaker I could hear....Driver, bring in all your paperwork, driver sets his brakes on the scale, calmly gets out with paperwork in hand and takes his time walking toward the end of his trl and around to the office. I am thinking SOB, but dared not vent my frustration by yanking on the air horn, thus drawing unnecessary attention to myself. Soon as that driver casually walked into the office......the door had not even closed yet, when he comes haulin ### back out, runs to his cab and throws paperwork inside his cab window. We all got the green light as he pulls around back like he was suppose to....... :)

fernald, oh radioactive waste sight, have a flatbed load of new empty tanks, I check in with guard and he sends me to an office to check in. Go thru gate to office, there is a machine just clicking away and duck tape line on the floor. Guy inside didn't tell me that the tape divided the room and 1 side was contaminated (radioactive) so i had to step into a machine to be cleared to leave the room. Get checked in and am told once i pull thru the gate i can't drive out to leave until the truck and trailer are completely dry ( raining cats and dogs) and no radiation can be found and if not tested clean there was a hole ready to drive into so it can be buried . Now you can see stuff on the water running over the asphalt. I go to truck and refuse to drive thru gate and the guard starts threatening me and saying i will be banned for life. I tell him thats fine where do i sign because i will never be back, next thing i know there are 3 black 4 doors and a brown 1 come flying in and surround me asking why i am threatening the guard, i simply explain what is really going on, and those nice guys with the assault rifles have a fork lift on our side of the gate unload me and set the boxs at the gate so they can be took inside. This was a mercer load and i got banned by mercer for 6 months and found out that this was a common problem there. Needless to say i have never been back there. I hope my name is still on the top of the no entry list where i put it.
