I think they call them light weights.
-
48 inch sleepers?
-
allows them to pull more weight at the expense of comfort/space for the driver, but then they also pay the driver more for using a lightweight (compared to a larger truck)
-
How much more are we talking?pattyj Thanks this.

I'm in one right now it's not as bad as you think. There is 2 cabinets above the bed your under bunk space and with the passenger seat gone I have alto of floor space. Not sure what you plan on doing in here but the condo isn't all that roomy either.

What exactly kind if truck are u guys referring to? Do you mind posting a pic or a link?

If i remember right, it's .42 cpm for the lightweight, .37 otherwise.
from a prime website, these are their 'lightweight' trucks: Peterbilt 384, Freightliner Columbia, and International 9200 modelsblairandgretchen Thanks this. -
When I heard tiny tractor I was thinking yard mule.
Is the OP talking about these new tractors that have the storage behind the seat or the integrated 36" sleeper. -
I'm in a cascadia the bunk pretty much goes to the seat. They removed the upright cabinets. Would post a pic but not sure how from the phone.
