Very excited about being cleared today to head out with my flatbed instructor for my CDL training. Since I had been self employed for the last 20 years, have high blood pressure and no where near an angle the first 35 years of adulthood it took me almost 7 months from the time I applied to reach this point and all I can tell anyone is that if you're honest and willing to do everything asked of you it can be done.
I'm looking forward to many successful years here at Prime.

Looking forward to your experiences Ducttape. Might have picked a better title for your thread though. I did the same thing and regretted it for 2 years. Be patient and be careful!

Made it through the exam and am now a Licensed CDL driver with just enough experience to know I don't know much. Was very fortunate to have my PSD instructor hook me up with another Flatbed friend of his for the TNT portion and have now completed 10,000 miles of the 30,000 required. Through the whole thing I've been very fortunate from my recruiter, PSD instructor and now my TNT trainer who happens to live just a couple of hundred miles away from me so I'm able to spend Christmas here at home and head back out again next Thursday or Friday depending on the availability of a load out of Colorado.
So far I'm very happy with my decision to go with Prime and only time will tell if the happiness continues.

Congratulations!
Hope the rest goes just as well for you. I'm right behind you in process.
Have a great Christmas.
