I heard recently that Ohio's CDL test is the most challenging in the U.S. Is this something one should worry about, or should I be good as long as I go to a good school and know my stuff?

Any Ohio drivers here that could give me some input on the test?

I don't live in Ohio, But can you drive? if so then your going to be okay..
They will train you on the information you need to pass your states exam..
Just take it serious and don't be a slacker...
    You will be fine..

    start now.. Google "CDL test"

Yes, I know Ohio will teach me about the stuff I need to know, but I'm going to a school in Pennsylvania. SAGE in Canonsburg to be exact. The lady I talked to at SAGE mentioned a two or three day program that I should attend in Ohio (after graduating from SAGE) so that I'll be prepared for the Ohio CDL test. Would this benefit me or will I be fine as long as I learn as much as I can from driving school?

    Thanks, Jo and CyberGal.

"Truckin" I know when I was training drivers the most important thing about the Ohio CDL test was the "Pre-Trip" inspection. They failed more drivers on that than any other part of the test. Just study the material and don't take it lightly you should be fine. Take notes and study them whenever possible and listen to the instructors. They are there to help and teach you. Good Luck, and keep us all posted.

Thanks a lot, GrumpyDad. I've been taking in as much as I possibly can, so by the time it comes for me to take my test I'm pretty sure I'll be fine. Especially after schooling and all the information I'll get there. I'm a pretty smart kid, so I shouldn't have a problem with it.

I love confidence as long as it don't lead to ####iness. I'm not sayin that's you by any means, I've just seen it too many times. I had a trainee one time that came from a truckin background and he was all fired up said he knew what to do and he could'nt drive a billy goat to a barn!! I don't think he ever got his CDL as far as I know. Good Luck, you seem to have a good head on your shoulders and you should do fine.
