Not sure about which trucking company it was but a lady pulled right out in front of the driver, witnesses said. Killed the driver in the car, they sent the other passenger to the Med in Memphis. No idea if the truck driver was hurt.
I know any accident is awful and many times very preventable. Usually it is the person in the little car or truck not paying attention or respecting the big trucks and I just ask myself WHY. Why do people NOT focus on their driving and other drivers around them? I rode with my husband for 2 weeks and saw plenty of drivers just cruising along the interstate, looking down at their stupid cell phone, sending a text and then drivers who have no clue what that little lever does when they turn or change lanes, or want to ride right on the rear of the trailer.

If anyone was passing through or has any info please share and I'll share what info I can get.

The driver was sent to the Med in Memphis, and she actually pulled out in front of him. They say that intersection where it happened is hard to judge distance of traffic but I believe when it comes to 18 wheelers the best thing is to just wait. I always do even if I can safely pull out and not cut the driver off or have him have to slam on his brakes to avoid almost hitting me,etc. I wait. I think the truck was a local farmer's. It was a grain truck. Ironically the truck said "Close Enough" on the door:biggrin_25512:
