Untrue again not complete information. Call and talk with any ICA and ask them to clarify how the load system works. It goes like this....
They come out with x y z number of loads... the company load boards get first picks at all the loads to fill the company drivers with and also back them up many loads in a row... what is left is handed down to IC's. Yes you may find good loads in places where company drivers are scarce.. but in places like the south or midwest.. you will struggle with getting great paying light loads all the time.
the Northeast has alot of good paying loads that are short in miles but then again you're looking at time used in load and unloading. Anyways.. you do not have an equal chance at getting loads with the company load board people because again they do get first pickings.
Question for SNI choice guys. Why did you choose?

Just because you had a bad experience with SFI does not mean they are the worst thing out there. You are right on the new trucks. They are over priced. But why do you presume any of us were talking about a new truck? Sadwar got a used truck, DFO got a used truck, I got a used truck. I can guarantee you that the cost of the truck I got is within the fair market value. I did my research. I know the price of my truck is UNDER every other comparable unit I looked at.
Don't presume that you know my financial situation either. I most certainly could have walked into a dealer and financed a truck. I have the money for a down payment of 20 percent. But I also have that money tied up in investments.
Like I said you had a bad experience and didn't get your way so SFI got the truck back. Where's your personal responsibility for not inspecting the truck yourself before you left with it. Why would you take the sellers mechanics word for anything? To me it sounds like your ticked off cause you didn't do what a responsible owner should do and you threw a fit when you didn't get your way.runningman0661 Thanks this. -
First of all.. you're attacking my ability to be able to inspect a truck without merit. Second, I asked them if I could take the truck to another local mechanic and Amy declined that offer. Thirdly, I turned the truck back over to them it was never taken from me. In fact they didn't want it back and I took it right to their lot dropped it off and went into the office in front of her boss and told her all the deficiencies with that truck for which I could legally sue them.. ie on the inspection yearly report they wrote that the exhaust was good all around including under bunk. The kenworth dealer that checked it saw that it had been completely ripped off and judging by the soot on the ends he declared it was at least a few months since the fact. He even gave that to me in writing.
Second, I did inspect the vehicle and found that there was white creamy substance in the oil which I brought up to their attention and they claimed it was just moisture built up over time and it would disappear after driving it for a while. Never happened. I told them before ever taking the truck if I could take a new truck and that I would be willing to pay for my own hotel stay for 2 weeks if need be. She said it would be more than a month before I could get another one.
Anyways.. I based my assumption on your own words when you said that you have good credit so I presumed if you have good credit then you would have gotten xyz amount of percentage on a loan for a truck.
I also got a used truck but even on the used trucks their APR is about 18% which is again still a ripoff. I took it because like most here I just wanted to get in a truck and figured its SNI and surely they would have inspected them and
not sell a lemon.
Anyways man. Im glad you're happy where you are at just don't go around making false statements that SFI rates are the same or better than dealer rates because that is laughable to anyone that knows the least bit about financing. -

Nothing wrong with going with used truck either.. All about estimating what is going to work out best for you!Last edited: Mar 9, 2014

Knight Rider, ChicknWing, Clearly two completely different experiences. Did you both deal with the same place? I mean same people, same local? I find it interesting that your experiences are so different. Knight Rider.. were you a SNI company driver before trying choice? Also, Where did you go and are doing well?
-
RickyBobby.. I only speak up about it when someone says something about SFI. And I don't say everyone that deals with them is messed up in fact had you read one of my posts I clearly stated that how you feel about the deal you get with SFI is completely relative. Some are making peanuts as company drivers and for them 1200 a week take home is superb.. for others its going backwards.
Anyways this guy just was stating bs numbers so wanted to call him out. Im not saying that what SFI charges is fair or not but that his claim that he said its about the same as with a dealer is a total sham and misinformation to those that may not know better.
I did have good experience with SNI but schneider finance.. nope.. ### them. Their crap truck caused me to break down 4 times before a load and then they charge me 500 for bringing the load late.. after I complained that it was their fault SNI said they would give me the 500 back as they saw it was not my fault.. only to say We're Sorry but SFI termed you out of the system so we cant give you anything now.
500 of my hard earned dollars they kept on top of whatever time I lost.. and you want me to be nice about it? Dude I will tell every single person that ever thinks about dealing with them if you don't like it gladly put me on ignore I don't mind. -
Cal I had driven for SNI 2 years back in 04 till 06 and then I had to leave due to family problems so I decided to come back after all was resolved some time later and ended up with the Schneider finance crap. Like the other guy said I was going to get a new truck to begin with but Amy kept talking me out of it telling me how much better and quicker I could pay off a used truck. Anyways, left them after a month.. Went back to the small company owned by 2 former truck drivers.. they have about 200 trucks and 100 owner ops. In April they decided to outright buy for about 10 drivers their own trucks interest free and the company would just deduct back from them. I happen to be one of them. I get a truck of my choice. Pay is 1,000 a month for trailer rental and all insurances and such a month plus we get 90% of gross on all loads and we get access to company load boards so we can pick our own loads or have them dispatch us. So yea, cant beat it and doing very well.
I just make it a deal to let anyone that is expecting to be treated honestly by SFI should not have high hopes. It is what it is.. you dont have money for down payment and no credit then you get what you get not much of a choice there. -
