2012 KW T700 w/ISX and APU towing a 2012 Great Dane reefer with a 40 gallon tank, scaled out at 35,500 topped up with nothing in the box.
How heavy is your truck and empty trailer with full tanks of fuel?

2007 Pete 387, 475 cat, 10 Spd, lo-pro 22.5's, 2x100 gallon tanks,me, my junk for a couple of weeks, no APU, 4 single chains, 5 load locks and a 2010 Utility 3000r, 53' air-ride with a TK210 unit. 50 gallon tank on trailer. Right at 35,500. Forgot to say that's over 3/4 full of fuel.

Great Dane reefer trailers are heavy...much heavier than Utility reefers. I am kind of surprised that your ProStar is that heavy though. That's big boy Peterbilt territory. They usually run more around 18,000. When I drove a Cascadia, I could haul 45,000 and be ok, but in my Pete 386, anything over 43,500 was overweight territory...even doing the 50 gallon shuffle. The Pete had twin 120's and a Tri Pac apu. But you're heavier than that. You can't even pull 42,500. You'll have to run basically empty to pull any heavy loads.

i know, right? Very hard to pull reefer loads

I was right at 35,500 but it was barely an issue. The majority of my meat loads were 42,000.
Simranjit Thanks this. -
Well, I haven't scaled with the reefer full AND tractor, but I can haul almost 46,000lb full of fuel.
06 Freightliner Century, no APU (have a generator), and a 2013 Utility 3000R reefer with a Carrier unit. I never have a problem going even up to 45k, know I always have room. Especially if I let myself go lighter on fuel. I hauled a 46k load out of Houston to Salt Lake City and running no more than 3/4 fuel, and was still under 80k when loaded.
Prior to this, I had a 2001 Great Dane... max weight I could haul full of fuel was about 43,900lb.
And for someone mentioning the ProStar being heavy... my friend had an 06 9400i and he never could haul heavy. 44.5k was about the highest load he could take, and even then was pushing it to get the weights legal on the axles. -
I got a 2006 Pete 379 with a ACERT C-15, 18 speed, and 300 gals of fuel matched to a 2006 Utility reefer with 50 gal fuel tank Carrier unit, electric pallet jack, bulkhead, 9 load bars, mounted spare tire in a rack, and two alum boxed under the trailer holding pallet blankets and a few spare parts. The empty weight is right about 40,500. A tad heavy, but never had any issues except with cheap and heavy full loads out of the east coast...which is fine cause I'll bounce back empty before wasting my time with them.

How much is just your truck.
-
Never weighed just the tractor since I own the trailer and don't pull any other.
