Crete and Schaffer have several variations in pay scale and required time out based on where you live. In Florida, we are required 21 days out and make 2 cents less than what they advertise. Some Western drivers are required 42 days out. Some folks only a week. One size doesn't fit all. Regardless, they are still a big step up from most Megas.

I've read about that online and hinted at "is 4 weeks that it until I get assigned a truck"
Recruiter said yes...
So I don't know. -
I was in Milwaukee picking up a Miller load. Got a quick inch+ while I was in the middle of my 7-hour wait.....
Anyone else having a screwy month of March? I can't seem to get any momentum. But at least the ParkSmart is fixed this time. Frayed wire caused the latest failure. Also got new steers, so I've got new rubber all the way around now. 386k means it'll be the last set....xlsdraw Thanks this. -
I seem to be getting preplans that are already late or ones with an extra day on them. I sat from 13:30 yesterday till this morning. Now I knocked off early today because this load delivers at 1700 tomorrow and I only have 210 miles to go.

I've been lucky so far, longer loads and not hitting a dock every day. Ending most every day in a good spot. Knock on wood

Crete does not like to get their drivers home, period, end of story.

I didn't have problems getting home or getting miles. They had plenty of inbound freight to Florida. -
My current AM gets me home on-time, every time. Not so with her predecessor.
Stungjoe....that wasn't you I ran into in Wichita today, was it? He said the exact same thing. I've heard this about a half-dozen times in the last week or so. -
I will refute that. I have never had a problem getting home when I ask for time off. Even if it is short notice and for emergencies, they have gotten me home. In all the time I have been with them, my time was missed only once, and that was because the Deland office person failed to enter it in the computer (at least that is the excuse I was given when I complained). I have been a day late a few times, but the overwhelming majority of the time I get home on the day I requested.
-
When I was there, they got me home on or near my requested time more often than not...but once I put in the request, that's when I'd see the longer runs...the other way. I would have to remind them about 1/2 the time that I was trying to get home...once I reminded them, then loads working me home would appear. It was almost like they were testing me to see if I really wanted to go home or not.
