Many people probably followed expecting my worst like over on the Crete thread(s)...wonder if they're still following once I started playing nice.
-
I'm glad you're happy there, I'm merely following this for the SSB saga with the MIL. You should be due for home time again
-
I've taken too much hometime lately. Am running out of sync. It's time for me to return to the 6 weeks out 4 or 5 days off schedule.
-
Am trying to pu DirectTV crap...but load was suppose to be ready by 1600, it is now 1900 and it is still loading. I started my day at 0800 and didn't have time to split log anywhere...so it may end up being Thursday before I get to San Antonio. It is 930 miles to Austin, and they stop receiving at noon, San Antonio stops at 1600. I won't make it out of GA tonite. So that means 850 + what ever the distance is between stops by Weds afternoon...to quote the late Tim Wilson's song."where the *bleep" is my jet pack"
Hott Rodd Thanks this. -
SS, don't hesitate to talk with broker concerning detention.
-
this load came by q/comm...no broker involved. Although detention isn't really my concern, getting this there on time and getting a load out of GP before the weekend is my biggest worry (if I ever make it back there).
It took them until 2100 to get me loaded which meant I had 1 hour left on my 14. So I ended I up going south to Jackson, GA because I wasn't sure if I could make it to any truckstops west of Atlanta. I messaged Poly about not being there Wednesday and will give them a call later just to make sure they got my message. -
Transplace is broker for direct tv loads. They don't deal with drivers only desl with carrier so must get in touch with b/h. I saw u last night leaving direct tv was in my personal car live close to it.againstthewind Thanks this.

well, I just faxed in my application, or tried to at least. May have to drive down to Staples if my machine remains frozen on standby!
I do have a question for the drivers- I know it's probably in the thread somewhere, but I don't have the time to review 310+ pages..
On another site I saw some pretty negative comments about Poly America's benefits..
So I'm wondering if someone would fill me in on the weekly cost of Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, who provides the coverage, how long before bennies kick in? Also, any idea of the cost of Life/Short Term/Long Term Disability?

Thanks to all the people who've made this thread a great place to visit!! -
4 months to start insurance. $0 deductible, 15% co-pay, weekly deductions are about the same as other companies, prescriptions are a little different. Some of the meds my wife takes are 90 day prescriptions and have to be mailed from their version of mediscrips while others are 30 day scrips she can get normally. One of her meds that Crete covered isn't covered here and one that Crete wouldn't cover is covered here. I don't use the insurance, but I have to be covered so my wife is covered...I don't even carry the card with me...I think they are a division of Aetna, but can't think of the name. Not sure about short/long term disability.
There was an issue with our doctor getting paid. It seems as though my name is in some other database still showing that I am covered under Crete's insurance. They refused to pay and insisted that our other insurance was to be billed since they were the primary insurer. When my wife asked what other insurance they said Blue Cross of Nebraska...she had to sign a legal form stating that we were no longer covered by that insurance...thankfully they accepted her signature with the Power of Attorney we set up for her.
