If you use a tax company that deals mostly with truckers they can write off almost anything you buy away from your zip code , what you listed plus,TV, movies, cooler, even your cell phone

Those and anything else you need to purchase for your job, that the company doesn't reimburse... If you are OTR and need bedding. Preparing food in the truck ... The hardware (fridge, crockpot etc)... Your phone (not sure if it's a percentage or the whole thing... Think it depends on how many 'personal' calls) wifi (checking weather, road conditions)... I'm sure there's bunches more, but you get the idea...newbietrucker007 Thanks this.

Ok, DOT reflective rain suit, steel toe boots and gloves are ok, jeans, sneakers and non-company logo'd clothes aren't deductible, cause they are everyday wear.
Thanks! -
Any paid showers and hotels that weren't directly reimbursed. Hotels can be deducted regardless of the situation i.e. your truck does not have to be in the shop ... you feel like getting a room? it can be itemized. Be sure to do the standard meal allowance for DOT covered workers (search elsewhere)
