Any of you pass a blue Crete going east on I-30 earlier today and offered a friendly wave (all five fingers, so it wasn't SSB!)? Called out on the CB but no response. Newer PS....3690 maybe?

i asked alot of questions to make sure poly was for me, most of what i read on here and what they told me in orientation was the same, one thing outbound warned me about was that if i was on hometime and a driver broke down in my area i may b called but they would then send me back home if i wanted, little things like that i like to know so im prepared, not sure what good it will do if im in the woods camping with no signal but hasnt happens yet good luck be youself, well unless your a jerk then fake it lol

Dress professionally, be honest with answers, don't worry about the test they make you take...you won't finish it...no one does. It's a 'how many answered right' test, not a 'how many answered' test. Don't be affraid to ask a lot of questions, and don't be intimidated...Poly's HR office people are just every day folks, if you made it this far, you've got a good shot you'll be wearing a Poly shirt driving a bright and shiney red Prostar soon.

I know the Walmart/Sam's corporation does a major amount of business with us, but...there should be a sign over the door of some Walmart stores with the words from Dante's Divine Comedy..."abandon hope, all ye who enter here". 40 registers, 5 or 6 open(at 5:15 pm) and lines out into the retail isles...what gives Wally?...if your prices weren't so cheap, I'd shop at Kroger(but not H.E.B.)

Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to dress for the occasion, and I do have some questions ready to ask them. Looking forward to hopefully driving one of those Prostars soon.

Does poly do loads into NYC? What about broker loads into there?

I took a load to a transfer facility in New Jersey that had three stops in the NYC area. So as far as I know, we don't take our outbound loads there & I've never heard of backhaul booking a broker load going there. Most backhaul broker loads are too get us back to one of Poly's facilities.

    Hope your not too disappointed.

Thanks jd..actually I'm not disappointed at all. I've had my share of NYC. Never going there again would be great. ! This is just another check mark on the "pro "side for Poly!

I have seen that sometimes there are not outbounds til the day after the PTA ya'll send. So I reckon ya'll occasionally lose a few days there. How about on your outbound loads, are they scheduled fairly tight or too loose? Same with backhaul. Trying to guage how efficiently ya'll get to run. I understand the pay scale is real good and the equipment is mediocre. Must be quite flexible on home time with only an 8000 mile monthly requirement. Would 130k-135k paid miles with 55-60 days a year home time be realistic at Poly for a Central Florida driver? I didn't think I was in your hiring zone until I seen this Plant City fellow start posting.
