On the extra trailer info...as long as it is on there and legible...and easy to understand, I don't think it really matters where...just as long as it's there
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

thankfully it was picking up merch from their suppliers and delivering to their warehouse. I heard drivers in our break room say Poly use to do Tuesday Morning store deliveries...but haven't in a while. They said they were a PITA as well.

Multi stops any day huh. Lets say you average 64 mph an hour. Thats almost 31 an hour. But then you have a stop that pays $30. So as the shortest unload ever you from entrance to entrance get unloaded in 30 minutes. Then take into account the time from exiting the interstate to getting back on. On average ive found this takes around an hour. So yah. Multi stops are great. If you drive 35.

ya i meant do 900 at gp with a load goin to houston monday, probably worded it wrong. i guess if the driver going there from ohio im guessn i wont, no biggie.
is there someone in the shop at gp doing pm's on sat eve or sunday, debating whether
to go thru but dont want to end having to take loaner to deliver if it doesnt get done -
Guess we will find out. Mine is due too. Will be there at the same time. Late Saturday, early Sunday. I'm just a newb so no idea. LOL. I asked outbound they told me just put myself on for Monday. ... If anything changes they would let me know.

That's where I mentioned in my Post. Also, came from Jerry when I asked. Thanks for the update.

I get your point here and I agree with your way of thinking on it. Just keep in mind there are many ways to twist it to sound good or bad. Example...Start your Multi stop day at stop one and finish your day at stop#2 or #3 with 600 plus miles driven...maybe one stop can be done at lunch with the mandatory 30 minute break deal and so on. As you can see...in some cases you can make it work for you just like many other things. Besides if it's a BackHaul you are doing it anyway.
-
I keep my gps on only when I am driving, since mine is old and the older ones had issues with batteries overheating...and have never averaged 64 (moving average, not trip average). Plus the way Outbound loads are scheduled...there is excess time anyway.
-
Not with me. I prefer the night driving. And by prefer i mean ill sleep 3 hours instead of 8 to drive at night. So no excess time. 715 miles a day (65mph) or fail. I just cant deal with the stupidity of people. But i can still do all of our loads on time. Just no hours left after delivery. Im still getting at the minimum 3000 week average. Only because thats what i found out i need. I talk a lot of bs but i should have come here 8 years ago. Probably 50 grand more in my bank account. Trucking sucks, but unless you buy your own truck, you have freedom here.
LilRobWayne Thanks this. -
