So USX told me this, and it scared me

I'm a new cdl grad looking for a starter company to hopefully spend at least one year with. I'd appreciate it if any cdl grad new hires would talk with me about their experiences so far.

It most certainly isn't a false statement. There are numerous people on here who bash companies they have never worked for. Certainly there are people who complain about their experience with a company, but that isn't what I was talking about. I'm talking about the people who automatically bash a training company just because it is a training company.

 

Training companies have more incentive too keep classrooms full than to haul freight. The driver training pays better than hauling freight for Wallyworld.
Our government needs to get out of the Trucker Training business.

Do you have anything to back that up? I can't find any real numbers to back that up.I was told that it costs $5000-8000 to train a new student. The fluctuation reflects advertising costs. Of the trainees that begin the process only 24% make it to upgrade to first seat. Overall they have around a 112% turnover rate. It doesn't seem like they make any money off training.
