Where Are You....continues........

Well... thankfully I found a freaking place to park truck in MA... I am at a very small service plaza on I-90. There are only 2 parking spots for small trucks here... The rest of the trucks that arrive later, will have to "create" their own parking spots... From here, will go to ME for p/up on Monday. But will be there tomorrow morning cause there will be nobody there, the business is at the end of a quiet dead end street... then, I will leave trailer there and bob tail to a Walmart nearby for my groceries shopping... This next load will be going to North Dakota... hope the snow has ended up there.... brrrrrr....

I Google checked this place and it seems to be a nice truck stop.... Is it still there?

 

Well.... I have changed my plans.... was going to leave this service plaza at 4 am central time and park at shipper today, and then bob tail to WM for my grocery shopping and chill out till tomorrow's pick up.... However........... After calling WM yesterday, was told they don't open today, Easter Sunday... And after checking my HOS, I realized that if I stay here till Monday at 5 am, I will regain my 70... So, after some calculation and considerations, I decided to stay here... Not that I really need to gain my 70 but... I rather have all my available hrs than recycle... The only inconvenience is that I will leave here on Monday, during top rush hr traffic, on I-495 MA, Shall see... this is going to be an "experiment" and time will tell if this was a good decision or not... Hope I don't regret...

 

I495 isn't that bad during the morning rush. Yep, the Irving Oil T/S in Kittery is still there.

 

Good to know Iron... Every time I have gone thru there, during the day, it was a real pain in the rear end...

Yesterday, I almost drove all the way to the first rest area on I-95 NH... but instead, used my PC (personal conveyance) and parked here... The only "advantage" this place has is that they sell bags of ice... for my cooler.

 

It has been 2 or 3 weeks or Maybe even a month since a PAM Truck has been parked in the road idling all night.

Yesterday a KLLM Truck backed in and at some point it began idling and as of right now still is.

The main question is how did he change companies that quick?

 

Some folks idle non stop no matter what... Maybe they have appliances and refrigerator, etc in the truck... I am at a service plaza in MA and there's a sign here that says "Idling over 5 mins is illegal"

 

495 gets congested thru lowell and lawrence particularly at the junction of 93 into boston
if you need anything while in kittery i have friends and kids that will come get you and take you to the store
