Smile and wave at the jerks. It drives the nutcases even more insane, and if they are recording, WTF can your company do about it?

First off go get an attorney, as I don't believe one can be fired then told to find his/her own way home, all companies I know of or had worked for if one quit or gets fired they are at least given a bus ticket home, even people who goto orientation and get booted before they even get a truck, get some sort of a pass home.

2nd of all don't sweat it, go find another job now don't wait and put for reasoning for leaving personal, you can always tell your side of the story and situation.

As as far as flying the bird, did you have a license to fly that thing, if not might be in trouble.

i have flipped off 4 wheelers, truckers, etc... If they screw up, I felt they earned it and it's free to give as freely as one deems necessary. I wouldn't sweat it but your company is pretty chicken poop about it. I personally would have been more worried about some moron who called in on me because I put them in the ditch or guard rail because the flipping idiot didn't know how to merge correctly.

im sure the management in the office have used curse words on more than one occasion with each other

Thanks to this forum (and posts like yours), I'm trying to not concern myself with the actions of others. Probably the single hardest bit of self improvement I've ever tried. Man there are a lot of selfish idiots out there, but I'm noticing them less and less. I still want to pull the odd guy through his sunroof, but not nearly as often. Hopefully by the time I'm OTR, I'll be mr. water-off-a-ducks-back - lol.

 

How long did you work for them and what other incidents did you have?

What you need to do is...Learn how to give the one finger "smile". I must have done this 10 times before at my relatives and I'm sure I will do it 20 times shortly at my In-Laws.. When working this gesture is done countless times a day..

 

I would say that this is the major reason and the bird was just the straw that broke the camels back. Everyone is quick to jump on the company but it seems that you missed your route and was trying to avoid having to turn around. I have never had a problem getting into a turn lane when I am in the proper position.

 

I bet they never sent in the video, you simply hung yourself.

 

I had a guy video tape me a few years back. Little 4 lane road in a tiny city and I was riding the left lane because there's was no truck restriction, cars parking on the curb and plus I was turning left a few miles up. Well he flip me off and started recording me. Slowing down probably to catch my trailer number. And just kept flipping me off like with a hard on passion. I just laugh. I'm sure he turn it in but I never heard about it. Plus I wasn't in the wrong. Just another 4wheeler late for work and thinking if I wasn't in his way he would magically cut 30 mins off his commute.
