I found out later yesterday that there will be two more waves, this was just the first. Give the agent a call, maybe you can get on the list for the next one.

 

Does Mercer use practical miles? Do you have to have a TWIC card?

 

Don't have to have twic card but have to be able and willing to get one at orintation. Is used quite a bit since we do alot of milatary loads.

I can't for sure about the practical miles but most of the time, the miles posted on loads are pretty close to what I run. I don't beleive most of use pay attention to it, considering we choose our loads and the pay per mile varies depending on all the factors such as tarping, where it's going and picking up at, and the kind of freight it is.

 

So apparently I don't pick up on jokes to well. I pulled into a pilot in cheyenne,WY the other night and this old boy was walking by as I was getting out and said "you better stay away from the dog pound" I said what and he pointed at my trailer which I completely forgot was loaded full with fire hydrants.

 

Apparently I don't either...

Are you serious or was that a joke?

 

Maybe I wasn't clear. I was serious and the old boy was joking.

 

Ok, now we're on the same page.

 

OK, I just couldn't believe I forgot about the trailer load of fire hydrants. There kind of hard to miss. LOL

 

How was it, getting a load out of Wy.

 

I know you wont approve, but the load came out of minden,NV going to ks and ga.
