What's the starting pay for a student at W/S?

Or you will be catatonic from the stress of stuffing a really big truck into small towns built when the Clydesdale was the biggest "horse" power around. lol.
I say that tongue in cheek.....I paid my dues running those routes. and yes, you learn needed skills at a highly accelerated rate.

 

indeed, or else you will be trying to explain why there are car parts, trees and power lines attached to your trailer all the sudden... LOL.

Does WS hire in coastal NC? Just finished my second week of CDL school but I'm finding many companies don't hire east of interstate 95.

Doing great, local company, crazy miles(4670 this week), paper logs, home all the time and the only thing controlling speed is common sense! How you doing? Still with WS?

I always got 8,1-8.3mpg with that girl!

 

are they trucks governed? how fast are they??

 

They're governed at 65.

 

Automatics or stick? What is the percentage of no touch?? Any lifting requirements???

They're diminishing almost all of the sticks and going totally automatic. I drive one. It's annoying but I got used to it. We've got a lot of fingerprint freight but it's $20 per stop, whether you deliver a shoe box or a full trailer; usually it's a few pieces of furniture per stop. If you've got a trip with 10 deliveries that's and extra $200 bucks on top of your mileage. As far as I know, we only fingerprint furniture which can be heavy and back breaking, yes.
