I'm in Nashville now waiting on my ride to get here... What's the best way to handle returning there truck. It was a new truck when I got it and is still in same shape as it was when I got it. I'm just trying to protect my self and my last pay check from these people. I took some pictures as I get my stuff together... Anything else I should do???
Whats is the best advice for returning a truck back to western express.

Take it to their yard during business hours and get a "receipt". Have someone with some authority check it over and verify it's condition. Take pics if possible. Leaving it on a holiday weekend and going home could come back and haunt you.
Tonythetruckerdude and mixonjr Thank this. -
Mr Mixon, I wondered what happened to you. Guess things didn't go too well for you at Western. Do you have another gig lined up or are you finding another line of work?
Turn your truck in to the shop, and be sure to take note of who you give the keys and permit book to. When I left Swift, I wasn't worried about my last paycheck. They actually mailed it to me months later. I had bigger fish to fry.mixonjr and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
Make sure you didn't sign a piece of paper that said, "Quitting is a privilege and not a right. Failure to comply with fuel routes, service failures, or insufficient miles will require may prevent a driver from quitting." I still can't believe they think home time is a privilege. They must of stolen that from a communist play book. If you don't know what I'm talking about, another driver posted that they had to sign a piece of paper stating they understood that home time was a privilege and failure to do what they want would result in denial of home time.

No new job yet got plenty of offers but western has me #### near scared to work for another big company.. I may try and buy a truck and lease on with someone.

Ya I'll post my experience with them after I'm free of them 100% but it will blow your mind what I've been through.

Take a step up to a better company first, learn the ropes, THEN buy a truck. The goal is to be successful, not just to own a truck, okay? Don't be a stranger. Use your resources. Got some good hands here that may be able to help you as you go to your next gig. Luck in battle.blairandgretchen Thanks this.

Western express? Oh - that's different.
Take a big dump on the drivers seat, lock doors, leave in sun, and wipe your used toilet paper around door handles.
And thank them for the privilege of working for them.Stew209 Thanks this.
