Don't feel bad. My Poly load from MI to Houston went to the Houston food bank. I picked the load up on Friday afternoon with a Tuesday 2200 appointment (closed on Memorial Day). I get to Houston Monday around 1400, sit until Tuesday at 2000 when I headed in early. 35 minutes later I was empty and leaving.

There sure are a lot of bob tail Crete's here in the Paul's Valley Loves...did the pop-up fleet fairy sprinkle some pop-up fleet dust on the Crete family...since it was a holiday weekend, and the Wally drivers wanted to take time off perhaps?

I do believe that Crete has taken over the Paul's Valley Walmart now.

Hahaha getting hard to see the light so it must be the dark side

    EDIT:
The ineptness continues! I turned down a preplan that showed a ready time past my 14. They replied back it's OK to p/u the next day as long as on-time del. can be made. OK sweet, no problem I can do that since the ready time is a window (i.e. drop/hook). During the night I get that "This load is being tracked" message. I respond that I would not be able to make on time p/u but as of this moment OTD seemed likely. So I stop in Effingham for the night and 10 hr.s 16 minutes later my wheels are rolling. I get to the shipper and it's a live load. I'm late and they'll "work me in" :biggrin_25510: I call dispatch to ask them what the hey! She also showed this as a drop/hook. Fantastic, so who's to blame? She said we can play the blame game but it doesn't change the circumstances. True, it doesn't but it also doesn't make any strides to remedy the situation from happening again. I mean when things go south the driver sure gets his share of blame.

"Now back to your regular programming"

EDIT 2: I found that silver lining. I should have looked at this week's paycheck. 3215 miles plus two short hauls at $35/each makes for a pretty good check, :biggrin_25525:

If you look closely, your Silver Lining is really only a Nickel Lining. Soon to be a Copper Lining.

Well what ever's below copper is where I'm at. This day just keeps getting better and better. Of course I was late to the cons since the shipper was 11.5 hours late loading my trailer. Turns out there were indeed empty trailers at the shipper but they were too busy to load one last night. In fact I was talking to a Heartless Express (6 month stint at Crete about 7 years ago). His appt was last night and he was there on time. They still wouldn't load him till this morning. I arrived just as he was backing into a dock. They put me right beside him and he was still there when I left.. So the cons wouldn't let me unload. All they said was the load was re-scheduled for tomorrow. "I could get there about 0500 and wait"..haha. I pulled around and parked beside some empty trailers and saw some dock workers. I ran up to ask them if it was OK to park there overnight. "Sure thing man. We don't use those spots" He went on to say "You can even drop it there and come back"....hummmm So here I sit at the McDonalds near that nasty...TIGHT...Pee-lot in Franklin, OH The place isn't so hard when you're bobtailen':biggrin_25525: So the last word from my AM is someone is waiting to get word on appt time. I asked him what I should do if no time is given before she leaves for the day...about half an hour has gone by and no word yet.

EDIT: got word back. "show up at 0600" of course that's Eastern time zone so that means another day starts at 04:30 on my CDT clock :biggrin_25510:

I'm at the Loves in Pueblo, CO for the night, but I also got to wake up at 04:30 AM in the morning on my central timezone eternal clock for an early morning delivery. Usually over here in Colorado you get to sleep an hour later, but not for me this time. i feel like I'm in the Eastern Time Zone instead of the Mountain Time Zone. :biggrin_25510:
