Unfortunately, it is NOT a drop. They do allow overnight parking but it will be a live unload with usually a lumper fee of $60 if hauling chips.
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Thanks for the help guys.
LilRobWayne Thanks this. -
Wish more places were like Aldi's. I've always have a positive experience at their many D/C's.
jdrentzjr Thanks this. -
It appears that everyone survived this year's 72 hr DOT bluff. I saw very few extra officers out there this week.
-
Good thing you didn't hit the southern entrance to Kansas on I35 today then! I lucked out and the nice ossifer stopped the guy behind me. They were stacken' em deep!
-
musta been an I35 thing then. JD said one of the old closed rest areas between San Antonio and Dallas was full of TXDOT's as well. By what I saw though, it wasn't like it use to be where every state was ####'s to the walls, all hands on deck, blitz....now it's "yawwwwwwwwwn, oh, yea, that 72 hr thing....eeeeeh, maybe next time"
-
they were packin them in at the PA and CT coops
-
I was kind of surprised I didn't see any at one of the usual locations on my route. They like to set up, once or twice a week (every week) at the bottom of the Blue Mountain on PA309 between Allentown and Tamaqua. Not once this week were they there. I guess maybe they were focusing on the interstates this time.

i brought my creeper and 1/2 inch ratchet to work with me and adjusted a bunch of auto slacks but did not see many cops

Not a good situation in NJ right now. Truck involved fatality crash last night involving actor/comedian Tracy Morgan. A fellow comedian was killed in the crash...tired truck driver from GA charged after he failed to see the 1am traffic backup in front of him and rear ended Morgans limo while trying to swerve. The pic's I saw had a Walmart trailer sitting sideways in front of the rolled limo-van...not sure if he was the one involved...the only info given was a Peterbuilt with Oklahoma plates. Walmart has both, unless it was an outside carrier...they didn't show the tractor.
*update* just saw Fox news' s coverage, and it was indeed a Walmart company truck....but they said the driver charged was from GA, kinda far from home for a Wally driver...so maybe the Walmart truck was just involved...not at fault. They said 2 trucks and 4 passenger vehicles...either way, tough situation up there.
*update 2* just saw a news clip that showed the front of the Walmart truck. It appears to be damaged...and at the end of the story, a quote from a Walmart exec saying that they are investigating and if their truck was at fault they will take full responsibility. Say what you will about Walmart, but it sounds like they're doing the right thing instead of pointing the finger and blaming others.Last edited: Jun 7, 2014
