Wonder if that's a case of texting while running?

It looks like a protected crosswalk. If that is the case the truck driver's light would be red. That's if the pedestrian was not paying attention and started crossing when the walk sign was flashing. Perhaps texting? Not the best place to be multitasking if that was the case.

Headlights on, overcast out, depending on what color clothing she was wearing she could of easily blended in with the background. I don't know about anyone else or even a so called protected crosswalk, I'm not stepping out in front of any approaching vehicles until eye contact is made and I know they are slowing. Even turning on a green I look to see if anyone is about to run a red light. Trust no one at intersections.

Regardless of who's fault I hope she fully recovers. One of the commenters said it looked worse than what the hospital said.

I'd be surprised if there was not a working intersection camera there that should leave little doubt what transpired.

People are saying the truck had the green light and she tried to beat the truck. Also speed limit was around 50-55mph
