Hey guys, Just getting back into trucking after a 12 year Hiatus with which only had less than 6 months otr exp due to my sons medical issues, now son is fine Iam single and ready to get back into Trucking so needing a School to go to since my cdl lapsed due to not taking physicals , but anyhow i have been approved with england which they pretty much goated me into picking a date to start there training which after reading what I have about them probably wouldnt be in my best interest, then I was thinking Werner which I dont see or hear too much bad about them, us express and one Iam leaning towards is Roehl... I know starting off again its a crap shoot pretty much because alot of these companies are bottom feeders but would like to start off with one that doesnt #### around too much lol Iam in Louisville, ky if anyone has any ideas.... thanks

Werner and USX don't have CDL schools.
Roehl is OK, but make some more comparisons before a final decision.
Look at these 4 that have their own CDL school.
Roehl Transport
Millis Transfer (Eastern half of USA)
Midwest-Coast Transport (MCT) (coast-to-coast)
Southern Refrigerated Transport (coast-to-coast)blairandgretchen, Puppage and briarhopper Thank this. -
I started out with CR England.
If you plan on going the mega route, then I'll offer you a few pieces of advice:
1) Don't lease a truck. Stay as a company driver.
2) Don't become a trainer if you value your life.
3) Grab your 2-3 years of experience and then get the heck out.stacks and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
No mention of Swift?
I'm sad.
A company that is everywhere, and not too bad to work for.
Just be careful about the lease option, or the mentor route.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Please erase cre from your list.
Look at roehl or millis, or Swift, with the above caveat.
No possibility of paying your own schooling and skipping the megas? -
And please post your location - it helps a bit.
