You passed right by my junkyard. That city kity in Screven,Ga. is very sneaky. My 4 year old Freightshaker with the ISX just turned over 400 k last month and I usually run 80 k to 100 k at 5 miles over the speed limit whatever it may be and it averages right at 6. Truck isn't babied by no means but has never left me sitting. Truck maintenance is a constant never ending task and I'm certain a mechanic does something to my truck every Saturday.

I have been considering a truck with the ISX once my lease is up on this truck next year. I have very little experience with them. What advice would have for me? Anything specific that I should look out for in a used '03-'06 truck with the ISX?
-
Can't remember the years but pre cm871 isx I wouldn't be comfortable buying. Cm871 is great if you don't mind tinkering a little here and there. Cm2250 i have no experience with. Unfortunately the era of trucks you are looking at from 03 to 06 were all plagued with issues during the first go round of egr. Personally I would avoid those years

that is the kind of feedback I was looking for. now what about 07 or 08 model?

I'm at Charlotte getting annual done on my trailer now. As I thought that's why it was put OOS... Overdue like half of snis fleet
-
see thats what kills me about the trailer status message.
ZERO info given as to what the issue is. "pending defects"
had a couple recently that the stickers were wrong on. WTF!!!! Thats what The DOT go by! -
the last 2 trailers I had, the brakes wouldn't hold enough to slide the tandems.......wow, man......we made it work, though
-
I get that a lot. how did you get it to hold?
