If experience is an issue I'd just dump WS right away and jump over to Schneider at least temporarily. Why stay at a company giving you joke miles? Actually, out on the road I can't say I ever see WS trucks ever on the road. Probably goes to show they don't have the freight base to support teams.

jumping over to another company is very tempting. we don't want to be job hoppers though, would like to put in at least six months if possible. talked with someone in management today, hopefully things will get better soon.

Probably a good idea to see what happens for now, but as long as you have a legitimate reason to justify leaving so quickly and go to another place, you'll be alright. When job hopping becomes a problem is if a pattern starts developing. Leaving one place so quickly isn't job hopping. Having a new trucking job every 3 months at 4 different companies is an alarming pattern.

Want your checks to jump over 50% immediately? Go to one of the team companies that pays 48CPM or more. They're not hard to find. USX pays that if you both have hazmat, 44 without.

I'm not going to sugar coat it, you're idiots to team for 31 CPM. My training pay for my first two months teaming at USX was 32 CPM.

they are not idiots....they chose this company to start with so they could be together during training which is understandable. Now, if they continue to stay at this company for .31cpm and not getting adequate mileage...I would say we need to hit them in the head and wake them up! hehehe

But looks like they are going to be moving on very soon which is good because there are many companies out there that cater to h/w teams, valuable employees to have.

Sacrificing thousands of dollars of income just so you don't miss your wife for 4 weeks... That level of codependance can't be healthy.

Clear across the country doesn't even sound like a dedicated run.
