Is this a good company for a student straight out of school. They came to my school today and they seemed great but can never trust recruiters. 2400 miles, home weekends on regional, no idle restrictions, take truck home etc.

Hi snowez, being from Wis., H.O has been around a long time. It seems, and this isn't always true, but companies that have the name of a person on the door, seem to last a lot longer than "SUPER DUPER EXPRESS" or "CUT RATE FREIGHT CO." I think they were big paper haulers, and still might be, but that business has gone downhill in recent years (thank-you Mr. Computer) but I believe still run dry vans. Good luck.

They came to our school a year ago. They haul mostly paper. The road test is more thorough than other companies. I think they test you on parallel parking. Teams get the newer trucks. Had a guy from my school go there. He had good things to say but that was when he was fresh out of school. Lost touch with him so no current info for you.
