Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Any particular reason you guys don't use the pilot right there at the 470 ?

 

It's a lot-lizard infested ####hole and Dallas has idle laws they randomly enforce, plus I do everything possible to get Platinum on my Love's card so I get unlimited showers and coffee...and I refuse to use that little Love's by I-35e. Have been harassed and pestered there almost as much as the Dallas whorehouse Pilot.(someone said they don't like us using the truck stops in Dallas because of the theft and other nefarious things they have a reputation for)

 

Business must be booming. They ran out of regular places to park loaded trailers, so they were parking them in the middle of the driveway between the loaded line and building 8 where they usually parallel park the staged empties...but the guys in the warehouse seem to be keeping up (as long as we don't get any more severe weather that brings in the live load carriers)

And I have a question for drivers (not necessarily Poly drivers). What is it with the people in and around the DFW are losing their elderly? 3 out of 4 time I come thru there the big road signs are warning to be on the lookout for another missing elderly person. Why can't they keep track of their old folk. I mean, in FL, we know where ours are...their in the old folks community center a.k.a. South Florida...it use to be just the Miami Beach area...but we're getting better at keeping them alive, so now it includes most of the area from Miami to Lauderdale.

I'm at the Pilot in Roanoke, TX for a 34....saw about a dozen of y'all heading east on 20 over the course of the last 12 hours or so....looks like they had to pull a few oldie trailers back into service...2200s.....be safe everyone!

If anyone on the other side of the truck stop had a dash cam rolling...I might see myself on Funniest Videos. Since they couldn't see the bee, I bet I looked real funny waving and swinging like a looney toon. Reminds me of a comedy bit Brian Regan does...

 

Glad you came out on the good wnd minus the inconvenience. .. thats my main worry since im terrified of bees. I cringe when im driving behind or on side of a flatbed hauling bees.

 

usually when they're just being curious and buzzing me...I just bat them away...but this was a bee-line straight ahead attack (pardon the pun) I've only seen hornets do that when you screw with the nest or yellow jackets swarm. I've never seen a honey bee just kamikaze straight at me.
