CRST is a awful example of a team company., right up there with Carolina Cargo
I ran team for Conway Truckload & we avg. 6000+ miles a week , when a starting solo pay was .32 , splitting .45 gave us a better pay check , also helped when highlighting for home as you could get there asap usually in 48-72 hrs after getting a dispatch

The only way I'll team is if I have already figured out where to dispose of the body.

I want to add something here- yes he might have been a ocd anal prick , but it was his truck & he signed to be responsible for it, and he was the "lead" driver with three months exp , to your zero exp so far..... you are teaming , which means you both responsible for "following the proper procedure s" ie getting the bol sighed correctly, keeping on schedule to deliver on time ( some drivers cant keep the left door closed) , sending the correct macros in on the qaulcomm. ...... you get the idea , dont get me wrong ..... im not saying the co driver #1 wasnt a wack job but you might of pushed some of his buttons , better you got into it right away while you were on the west coast , than a few weeks in, when you might of been out east.

Thats why in the US, we say keep it between the ditches, cause you might just want to throw him in one!

I enjoying teaming with my hubby....don't think I would want to team with anyone else. Living in such a small space with someone else is challenging.
In my opinion, the hardest part about team driving is trying to get adequate sleep. Sleeping in a rolling truck is very difficult because of the rough highways. Sometimes I'm bounced high off the bed when the truck hits these big bumps or potholes.
At least every other day we park the truck and get some sleep while sitting still for a few hours, that helps a bunch.Ketchikan baby Thanks this. -
If you drive as a team you should invest in a really good mattress pad. I just picked up a 2" memory foam pad from Walmart for $89. I think this would really help soften the rough ride.
On that note... leave the satin sheets and slippery nylon bed covers at home.Ketchikan baby and jungledrums Thank this. -
Tylenol PM's is my advice!
