Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Back haul is running me like a sled dog . Are they testing me ?
I just send a msg showing I'm at the delivery and my phone rings a few mins later .
Gotta run from Tulsa to PGP , grab a load to Ark for Friday at 1130 am
Wont be able to turn in the paper work but it will put me near 2750 for the week

They must either be overloaded with backhauls or there are some new people up there. Usually we know what our next load is before we arrive at our current delivery. I have heard some new voices lately at the other end of the phone.

I am still at my Danville shipper...only 2 trucks here and 90 minutes before they drop the dock plate. They better hurry, this load has to be in Eagan before noon tomorrow, and I put myself on tomorrows UPN board so it's gota deliver.

 

lookn for any ideas on why tractor keeps shutting down,'yellow triangle comes on and it shut down, tried to bypass coolant senser no go, shut down yesterday and seems to start after cool down, i kno some of u have had same thing so was lookn to see what it ended up being with u, road serv came yesterday an changed fuel filters but i didnt think thats what it was, prob wont get a response bfore they come again but lookn for any ideas

 

what is your oil pressure? If it drops to 20 running highway speed it shuts down. If that's the case you need an oil filter

 

it was close to 20 maybe a little over, it shut down yesterday and i tried to tell them about oil pressure an filter but what do i kno lol well hopefully thats all it is, will update when i kno

 

would it start back up if its oil press, yesterday it started back up today it didnt

 

Check your oil level to , mine drinks oil and smokes like a giant bug sprayer .
if the oil level drops the engine will die

I think it's interesting that Poly will have me do a physical the day of my interview. I'm scheduled to fly to GP Monday, do physical and interview Tuesday. I don't know their reasoning, but seems to me they'd want to make sure they wanted to hire someone BEFORE spending money on DOT physical and drug testing. I don't know what to read into that. It almost appears like they want me assuming I'm not some nutcase that only an in person interview would reveal. lol

 

The loaner I had did..it shut down 4 times in a construction zone w/o anywhere to pull off. I would just switch the key off, hit the clutch pedal and restart it while rolling. Each time the oil pressure would jump over 20 for a couple miles, then do it again until I got to a place I could park and call the shop, then called fleetnet. That truck had a spare oil filter under the bunk, so it wasn't the 1st time that it plugged the filter, it was a regular mother filter plugger.
