The courts have recently ruled that lawyers can search your Facebook for entries for jury selection, during the trial and any other time pre verdict. We already knew the law can search your phones, social media accounts in a serious accident.......
And the best loss of liberty IMO: Currently a hovering drone outside a window is legal. It is not a peeping tom. Now a ladder against the house with the Tom on it is illegal but the drone with the camera is not. Really?
S'ok, I am developing a way to deal with private drones. Right now a shotgun will work just fine however I'd like to keep the prize undamaged . If I get it to work then I'll pass it on.
PS, I need a geek to refine my ideas. If you know one, send them my way.
Tks

I know what u mean.. I don't know about the whole drone thing, they've BEEN, for years, planning on using them things for whatever, they find applicable. Which. Could. Be. Anything. Smh.

Actually the Supreme Court ruled that when you are arrested the cops have no right to also search your cell phone. They have to obtain a second warrant to do so.

Yup. .
And as far as Facebook goes, don't put anything on there you wouldn't say in person and accept that it's mostly public and on the 'net forever -
Correct and thank you. Just saw that. Ruling is now is they can take it but not search it without warrant.

A fairly narrowly directed electromagnetic pulse ought to be effective against pretty much any drone, and it would only take a very quick burst. Could be something as simple as a magnetron liberated from an unused microwave oven, and fitted with a simple waveguide. As many drones have some amount of self-navigation capability, a GPS jammer, while being a dangerous thing from a legal standpoint, could also confuse the crap out of it. Personally, I think a low tech approach would be fun. Perhaps some sort of net-casting rig to snare the sneaky thing. Or a well-aimed crossbow bolt.
chalupa Thanks this. -
(Starts placing orders for x-Ray drones built and disguised as black helicopters with custom NWO markings, and thinks of insane conspiracy thoeries to post on Facebook):smt077:smt077:smt077

Well, it is has been ok for potential employers to search your Facebook stuff also. You put something out on Facebook, it is the same as writing it on a piece of paper and leaving it on a street corner. I dumped Facebook, primarily out of principle since Mark Zuckerberg is pumping a hefty amount of cash into Iowa state politics this election season. I didn't live on Facebook that much anyway, so it was not a hard choice to make. May prove to be beneficial in the long run based on what lawyers and business's can do with that info.

The door is open CP...wide open, endless possibilities now. I used to chuckle, stupid thief posts his deeds on social media and wonders how deputy dawg tracked him down.....but now it's serious. Employment decisions being made based on entries? Possible insurance rates adjusted based on postings? Even claim denied?
Not for me, never had a Tweeter , FB or instagram account and I won't.
As far as the drone thing goes....the air space above your property is open and free. That's how the courts said a hovering drone is legal by a window but a peeping tom is not.
No problem tho.....the Chinese sell a multi frequency jammer very cheap. Takes care of everything except the peeping tom and we have rock salt for him.
