Random LTL Rants (all are welcomed)

@ Century& Oi, When I worked For CWF in Bay Shore, they were slow alot! I was a City-Flex guy. I would call in around8-9am and they would tell me to come in at such&such time or we're slow, ya want to take PTO? My terminial manager would fine all kinds of weird things to do to pass the time till outbound strip started! I really wasn't much of a "truck driver" there! LOL I left once, went OTR with NBTY(Vitamin World) got laid-off from there after 6 weeks and then sucked it up and went back in 2011. Same old Same old! Any who, more on my Bio later! Live from NY, Its Saturday morning! ha ha

 

I worked out of BY, so I know haha. Alot of our freight got realigned to your terminal. I've via'd there a couple times.That guy Bill? with the long beard and tats still there?And Arthur? Arthur might have quit..he had a Masters degree I think. But he transferred to IY. Haven't talked to him much in a while. Most of the drivers I saw at the reship were real cool.

 

Con-Way is one company that NEEDS a union in there. Places like Estes, ODFL, Duie Pyle, JP Express are non-union companies that when you speak to a driver they are fairly happy.

@Shaggy NEMF makes less then the bigger carriers but are treated very well by management. I've heard guys telling me they've called their dispatcher to say they are delayed and they never even call back lol.

I got to use an automatic truck yesterday. I wouldn't want to take it linehaul I think. But forvpeddling in Long Island traffic it was SWEET. It's kind of cool when it downshifts. Just let off the gas and it downshifts itself through the gears

 

Not sure of your current employer ( mr ach big secret man ) . Sounds like a USPS job with the autos. I think NEMF pays the same as ABF ( locations vary ) and good to hear also relaxed like ABF.

Hey Cenutry, Yeah Wild Bill is still at Con-way! I saw him a few weeks ago in Deer Park. He does P&D days now! I rode with him on line-haul 3 years ago! And at Ach, I think NEMF sucks! At least Bethpage does. Crappy trucks, crappy building/grounds, pay is mediore! I'm thinkinking of jumping ship, and going OTR! Local in NY sucks! Oh, and Home Depot don't get me started! Crazey out!

Just remember your paid hourly, plus I, sure you can jump onto an earlier start time. Yea the trucks are old but if you keep your mouth shut and do your job without complaining they take care of you, hence why I had a nice truck Friday. Everytime I see you your in a newer one lol. That's why your CRAZEYDUDE

 

Shaggy I know CRAZEYDUDE from work. He told me he's followed for a while but never had a membership. He made it because I called him a stalker lol
