So far the only major concern I have is the reliability/maintenance of the trucks. Seems some of you are having quite a few issues. I'm definitely going to have them address this when I interview Tuesday. We had a lot of Internationals with that dreaded MaxxForce engine at Roehl and they seemed to have quite a few issues with it. Fortunately, I had a 2013 Cascadia with a Detroit Deisel that I really liked. I only had a couple of minor issues with it and nothing that had me in a shop for more than a couple of hours. I'm not a brand snob and don't care what I drive as long as keeps me moving down the road.

Perhaps I should have figured a way of dropping my truck at the shop last week. Most of the way across Wyoming things were going good...then just before sisters mountain...engine warn and the dreaded triangle, and my oil pressure was at 20psi. The engine never actually shut down, but it warned me. Every time I went full boost, the oil pressure dropped. Oil level is fine, and no other gauges show a problem. I am overdue 3000ish miles for a service.
And I calculated my last 7 days and turned 3655 miles since leaving GP. -
nope. They don't keep track like that...at least in the traffic department. They gang in our compliance office might.

certainly not per week...we're busy and run hard...but 8000/week might need 3 logbooks

I must be doing something wrong , im only at around 2750 for a 7 day avg.
I need to pick up the pace -
Yes , thats 2000 a week ( i think its on a rolling two month average )
-
I have weeks like that...if that is your average not just an every other week thing that isn't a bad start. The biggest thing is calling outbound as early as you know for sure when you'll be at whatever plant you're heading towards. The good long loads go fast.Mev Thanks this.

if theres a load on the board that gets u home u can tell them ur goin home after empty too,i usually tell them im lookn to go home when i put myself on the board, there are loads that get me home out of c/g too so sometimes i try an go home off themMev Thanks this.

i think pay wise u would still do good here even with the breakdowns, there is not anywhere i would choose to run otr over poly, if i left it would b to buy a truck or do somthin regional with wknds off,but i wouldnt leave here to just go otr someplace else, i still havnt found any otr company jobs that compare. the problem i might have is when i take time off and i dont meet the min mile requirment, so far thats not an issue, it also sucks when breakdowns happen on ur way home but isnt that when it always happens.Triumph and LilRobWayne Thank this.
