So - 6000 miles a week times 50 weeks, 300,000 miles, 440k gross . . . About $1.50/mile TTT . . .

Why do they always have to do the dramatic song and dance ?

Wouldn't it be easier to say " You'll make about the same as a company driver but with more headaches, and you can fund your own medical and 401k" ??

I know what you mean! I spent a lot of time in Wisconsin in years past. As a result, I just stopped wearing a belt.

Well since it said a TEAM made that much, I guess he only got one half of it. So HE grossed $220,000.00. They probably never took a day off or a vacation and just drove the crap out of the truck 20+ hours a day.

I wonder how much he actually cleared of that $220,000.00. Im willing to bet that after all was said and done he did not make much more than I did and I was home on the weekends and took a few months off.

 

I believe it. That is $8000 plus a week. I had a $12,000 week in a dry van.

Ask the Owner Operators what they gross. The numbers are not that out of line. What is out of line is the number of folks pulling for mega's making .34 per mile.

But if you are on craigslist why aren't you on the Causal Encounters page like real truckers?

 

Because that's how it works. Post a big number up there, get all the star eyed guys thinking that's going to be great...and then they realize it isn't near what they thought it was going to be. Such is life I guess.

Keep in mind Medical is a 100% write off, 401K is a powerball ticket.

That's how it works with the O/O's

440k is what the top truck grossed almost willing to bet the average truck grossed less than half of that. Jmho
