Some tricks I have used over the years:
dip a Qtips in gasoline, or vaseline, or nail polish remover or spray it with WD 40 or some other solvent and brush the Qtip on the tick's back. h He will loosen up and back out.
Another quick way is to just used some tweezers and get close to the skin and gently pull til the tick's head come out.
It is important to get the head out otherwise it ll possibly become infected inside your body.

Here at C&H Sugar. Showed up with some other Swifties, all picking up and going to same place. Every load was messed up. Product problems. Took it off me and now pu at noon tomorrow in Union City and t-call in Phx on Saturday. DM was trying to stack me up, Denver, SLC and CA again. Not happening. Getting real tired that everytime that I get south they hurry and pull me back north again. This load delivers in Goodyear on Monday. I just might decide to stay with it until then and deliver. See what kind of loads I get offered tomorrow then decide.

thanx scottie.. was able to get the whole tick off with razorblade. dont thing it was on that long to get all way in.

C&H is always messed up ... I'll take those loads on occasion, coming out of home time. Pretty much a lock for at least 3 hours of detention, every time.
Kenly, NC ... unloaded, today. PU tomorrow and head to IA. Then right back to NC finish the week. -
dublin ga at a gas station. had stopped at the pilot but was no room. ask the lady at the counter and she said that was a road to the places in the back. she said a cop lives back there and drives thru and will give every truck parked there a tix. she said the place where i'm at now has more parking. delivered the load of bush bake beans to dot foods in vidalia. got there few hours early and started unloading me at my appt time. didnt take long once they started.

Is that loaded with those one ton bags? If so then drive gentle. Apparently the side seams are notorious for breaking. Last year I hauled a load from there to Minneapolis. The receiver said it was the first load they received in weeks that had no broken bags. Normally they have a few broken bags that require you to drive to another facility to clean it out. I got lucky.

Hammer, Idaho... just finished my session at the wheel and turned it over to my trainee. Headed to Memphis to t-call this load. Had a beautiful drive from Yakima down through the Blue Mountains.
Note to the wise: Oregon state patrol likes to give parting gifts to truckers on eastbound I-84 just before the Idaho border as you make the last descent from the Blue Mountains. Had a flatbed blow past me that got nailed three miles from the border. -
my loads got changed and I got stuck with a live unload in West Hills at 4am so sitting here in the dock now and stuck myself in SB for a 10, will wake up around 5:45 to see if they are done then get out of the dock before vendors come and go find a spot to park. Originally I was supposed to do Paso Robles and a Santa Maria then get home for the night, changed to Santa Maria first then this live unload. After my 10 will head down to Long Beach for a Yussen and then got a load going up to Lathrop then will get as far back as I can. wife got used to me coming home every single night for the past couple weeks so she wasnt happy to hear I wont be home for at least 2 days but she should be happy im not OTR and gone for a month like it used to be.
