Saw you pull in, nice looking truck ya got. Look much nicer once you get rid of that #### tank behind it.moonraker01 Thanks this.

LOL!!! Thanks spyder. I agree with u 1000%!!
-
I would of, but didn't realize it was him till after we got back. Next time I'm sneaking out and sticking him with the bill.
-
Just turn that truck around and head on back here, at the rate I'm going I might still be here when the next orientation class starts. If this next part didn't fix the abs, I'm hot wiring the ##### with a well concealed push button.

I've already started filling out the app, but what about the equipment sheet?? Can't fill it out fully cause I hope to get a wagon from them. I still have all of my chains & binders, sold my straps, & still have the rags(even though I hope I can leave em in the sideboxes...LOL!!!)

I will be leasing on with mercer in August. Have a 51ft step deck, recruiter was saying not a good idea to bring a step deck on with mercer due to lack of freight for step decks. Is this true with Mercers freight base or just bs. Thanks any info would be great.
-
Thanks...
1) According to the Recruiter he can't promise that a step-deck would be available (Aug 4th)...
What is the REAL world... Would I stay busier pulling a skateboard as opposed to a step-deck?
I could have the wrong idea... I thought pulling a step-deck would avail me more vehicle freight (e. g. Military, Farm, etc)
2) How are the fuel taxes for states traveled handled?
3) How are the receiving and sending of the BOL's done (e. g. should I put a printer in my truck?)
4) Does Mercer have an EPASS (Tolls) program? (I was thinking about getting the PrePass+ thingy)
Thanks for y'all willing to share your experience and advice.

1. Mercer is a flatbed company. Yes they have steps, but they are primarily a flatbed carrier. Most people would do better with a flat than a step. The exception to this is if you have a very heavy truck.
2. Mercer filed and pays ifta. Only tax you pay is what you pay at the pump. Nothing is ever deducted from your settlements for fuel tax.
3. Scan your bills in either at a truck stop, or an in truck scanner.
4. They have a prepass program, I don't remember the details, just that it's tied into ezpass and ipass.Bigdubber Thanks this. -
You should be able to do pretty good. If you had to buy one I'd say get a flat, but since you already got one I'm sure you understand how to best utilize it.
