I saw Swift with a MS Carriers trailer the other day. Swift bought MS @ 1998 so that's at least 16 yrs old. That being said, so what if it's old. It depends on how well it is maintained. I pull a chemical tank and they definitely get threir moneys worth out of them. It's not a bit unusual to pull a trailer made in the 1980's. They are usually some of the nicest pulling trailers we have. And will all pass a DOT inspection. It's all about the maintainance.

Central Transport has the worst

Southern Cal- When Transport America bought them they were AWFUL. plus almost all of their fleet is spring ride not air ride. doing a switch from st paul back to canada them boys always loved to pull our trailers out of windy city, but id NEVER pull one of their's down there. They have come along way now though. i recall going to look for an empty in our yard see a Transport america trailer but the souther cal was faded behind it....NEXT!

Wow Bob, does Mike know you are bashing on here or you don't care? Tell Allen hey.
Oh, and doesn't your new employer go by the name __________ Logistics?? -
O My God
You're not still there are you?
Choking on the dust while you're out having a cig?
LOL not bashing. No names here, just sharing experience. So, did I report anything untrue? -
It's too bad you guys bailed when you did. New pay package rolling out. Finally new incentive pay for city and higher mileage pay. Plus new trucks coming early.
-
Hmm... sounds good, but I find that hard to believe. Roscoe said he negotiated an extra 150 to go to NYC last week cuz Baum wouldn't go. They'll need to do something extra for drivers on those crazy runs.
Newer trucks would've been nice, two tanks would've been nice....
I'm happier doing what I'm doing. Best to all there -

honestly,at this point what does it matter? you will pull whatever they tell you to pull simply because you will be a newbie and you will be job scared and you will be married to that 62 mph truck, qualcom, and elogger. you will be driving at night while attempting to sleep during the day.you will not idle your truck even if it is 95 degrees outside because the bottom feeder company you drive for has no idle policies in place to maybe/slight chance that you will earn a 1 cent per mile bonus. you will be laid over at some forsaken place a thousand miles from the house on a weekend and not be getting any layover pay because you were already dispatched but have yet to pick the load up. you will do all of this because you wanted to drive a truck which in all actuality is not really driving a truck because that truck, and you,are monitored 24/7.you will fuel where they tell you to and drive the roads they tell you to drive and drive at the less than the posted speed limit because that is all the truck will do.
why? why would you desire to "drive truck"? oh well.you will have your iphone and computer games to play as you lay about waiting to pick up on monday in order to do it all over again. welcome to driving as a newb.enjoy- -
I did too at first. Just did a crazy NY the other day. Told them we definitely must have the extra to go and deal with that bs. Two tanks for sure, one is just plain ridiculous. Not to mention those beat up Macks gotta go. We'll see if they stick to their word and give the extra. Enjoy, keep Allen out of trouble.
