A lot of times shaggy I'm not ready to leave when I clock in. Sometimes my freights all on the dock. If it's all by my door and light I just load it on myself. Keeps the bosses happy and off my case. A lot of guys do it. Sometimes it's all around the dock and it's a big place. The TM or the INBD supervisor will send a dock guy over. Normally it's my friend and he loads it exactly the way I want it to be or if theres skids in the nose I want to get off early he will do rearrange it. Heck sometimes the supervisor jumps on the forklift and does it lol. But he knows how I like my route loaded so it's always normally good.

Hmmm. We need more linedrivers on here ranting. That way I have someone to relate with about counting divots on the rumble strip or what mile marker placards have dents and need to be replaced. Most of my days are uneventful. Usually just the dispatchers shuffling things around on the last minute. I usually don't care if they do it, just don't screw with my days off cause of your poor planning.

At RR I still got more miles in reverse than you got forward! You got Cool35 and radman. Both line guys and work with you.

Monday, Received a verbal from the chief of P.D in my po dunk town on the 4 lane going to work. Wiggled in 2nd gear, Shifted 3rd with more sideways fun in the POV.
Came home after work monday with a note attached to mailbox, Call XXXXX XXXXX @ this number when you get home. So i called it. The chief gave me a verbal warning,
Don't spin tire and pretend to not notice me sitting in traffic. " i heard and seen you squeel tire for several seconds ". If you didn't call me back within reasonable time would have cited you for wreckless driving LMAO !
-He knew it was me. It's a small town and often leave the car outside of residence not in the garage. The car trailer is inside my garage, so no one steals it while at work.
Slow day in po dunk suburbiaMarksteven Thanks this. -
Last week I had a 6' brush mower that mounts on a farm tractor, going to somebody's house. Palletized it was 10'x8'. It was all I could do just to move that, let alone try and shove it out onto a lift gate. Right off the bat I told them they'll have to call the towing company around the corner and have them send a rollback over, to which their answer was firm "no", followed by "take it back".
Had to drive an hour back to the terminal to unload this thing, then another hour back to where I was. Nothing like having 4 returns because garbage freight got refused.Big Don Thanks this. -
Starting to feel a bit of a cool down in freight. Our LTL trailers are getting lighter and I've been hauling junk for the past week. Literal junk like Goodwill clothing and scrap metal. Oh well, I needed the break. Time to brew some beer... making an oatmeal stout

Yea that's how my days are. CRAMMED with deliveries and have early pickups. If I started earlier it would be easier, but starting at 930 and leaving 10-11 (depending on if loaded or not) driving 35 miles east in the island most of stop lights, the pickups having to be made by 3-4. And they wonder why I bring stuff back. Oh well, it won't change so no use ranting anymore lol.
also maneuvering a 48 in some places where they don't belong really helps the experience. Some guy offered me a job after I got it through the yard where straight truck guys won't go. Said i can use a guy with your experience. I declined it though. I'm happy where I'm atMarksteven Thanks this.
