Freight is bad for them simply because they're not looking for it...horrible customer service people

Don't ask me how but I made it to Santa Nella at the Petro.
635 miles in 10 hours and 49 minutes and most of it in Cali.
I-40 was shut down about 30 miles east of Barstow today. East bound had a very bad wreck. About 7 to 9 semis and 4 or 5 cars involved, I really could tell where one semi ended and one mini van began. I was heading west and we were shut down for about 45 minutes. I assume for CareFlight.Last edited: Aug 2, 2014

other than the long mountain grades, the snowy winters, the slow speed limits and the crazy drivers...it's a beautiful part of the country to visit. Beats the northeast hands down.48Packard Thanks this.

I'm thinking two more loads and I'll be done. It will be nice to have finished my time here at Crete out west. It will remind me what a long run feels like. I'll just have to remember the north east....haha.
tucker Thanks this. -
Why do I even try??!!
I'm sitting at a FCFS in San Jose (just south of San Fran). At 1100 local I get called to the dock. Being the eternal optimist I send OPs a note; "Just moved in to the dock pta 1 hour, got anything for me?" They send me a preplan picking up tomorrow at 1000 in Modesto. That's 90 miles away folks and I only have 22+ hours to get there!! But get this it's going to Auburn,WA for 08/06. I know there's a note on my truck that I must be in Wilmer to turn in the truck on the 11th. I'm glad I padded my departure date as to allow me a couple of days before I have to be in Midland for training! -
They did something similar when they knew I was leaving. I guess they want to get as much productivity out of you while they can...but it only proved my point about them being able to plan and coordinate...they do it only when they want to, otherwise it's blind luck when you have productive loads that are timed right back to back.
good luck in your new prospect, may you have similar luck as many of us former Creten's are experiencing.stungjoe Thanks this.
